2.2.3 Functions 
The functionalities of the task “Checking the voyage plan” are of the “set/actual comparison” type. They 
are thus composed of the following elementary individual functions: 
1. Recording the particular input information to be checked (“actual value") 
2. Recording the boundary conditions (“reference values") 
3. Comparison of input information and boundary conditions 
4. Assessing the comparison - does the particular value checked lie within the limits fixed 
by the boundary conditions considered? 
5. Provision of the result of the comparison for a revision of the original planning. 
Annex 7.1.3 contains the functionalities identified for this task as well as the elementary individual func 
tions with their input and output data, in overview form.
