7. Representation/display 
• An alphanumeric display of the state variables must be provided. The accuracy of display should 
reflect the accuracy of the particular sensor technology used as a basis 
• For the ship’s fundamental movement variables (courses, speeds, heading), a graphical 
display in the radar/ARPA and/or in the sea chart must be provided.
