Stellenweise kommt an den Küsten noch morsches 
Eis vor. Auf See ist es eisfrei.

Finnischer Meerbusen 
Saimaa: Im nördlichen Saimaa See liegt 10-35 cm 
dickes, morsches Eis. Stellenweise kommt auch 
offenes Wasser vor. 
Gulf of Finland 
Saimaa: In the northern Lake Saimaa 10-35 cm 
thick, rotten ice can be found as well as open water 
in places. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
In der Bottenwiek liegen die Tagestemperaturen 
Über null Grad, so dass das Eis weiter tauen wird. 
Der Wind weht meist mäßig, teilweise auch stark, 
zunächst aus nördlichen und östlichen Richtungen. 
Zeitweise dreht er auch auf Süd. Insgesamt lockert 
das Eis weiter auf und nimmt ab. 
Expected Ice Development 
In the Bay of Bothnia, temperatures will stay above 
the freezing point; hence, the ice will underlie 
;urther melting. The wind blows mostly moderate, 
partiy also strong, at first from the north or east. 
Occasionally it will change to southern directions. 
Overall the ice will continue to loosen up and 
decrease.

Vessels bound for Gulf of Bothnia ports in which traffic restrictions apply shall, when passing Svenska Björn, 
’eport their nationality, name, port of destination, ETA and speed to ICE INFO on VHF channel 84. This re- 
port can also be given directly by phone +46 31 699 100. 
icebreaker: KONTIO, OTSO and FREJ assist in the Bay of Bothnia. ISO-PUKKI assists in the northern Lake 
Saimaa. 
Sweden 
Vessels bound for ports with traffic restrictions in Gulf of Bothnia shall, when passing Svenska Bjorn (59° 
33'N 20° 01'E) report to ICEINFO on VHF channel 84; Stating ATP, destination and ETA.

Arrival report is to be made to ICEINFO, on VHF channel 16; Stating ATA, ETD and next port of call.
