Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 20-45 cm 
dickes, morsches Festeis. 
Schwedische Küste: Entlang der Küste liegt in ge- 
schützten Bereichen im Norden 10-30 cm dickes 
dichtes bis sehr dichtes Eis und im Süden 10-30 cm 
dickes, morsch werdendes Eis. Der Angermanälven 
ist mit 10-40 cm dickem, sehr lockerem bis dichtem 
Eis bedeckt. 
Schärenmeer 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären kommt 
stellenweise morsches Eis vor. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären kommt im 
Westen morsches und im Osten 10-30 cm dickes 
Jnd morsch werdendes Festeis vor. 
Russische Küste: Von den Häfen von St. Peters- 
burg bis zur Insel Kotlin kommt 15-25 cm dickes, 
Ockeres Treibeis vor. Weiter außerhalb treibt bis 
zum Leuchtturm Shepelevskij 10-15 cm dickes, lo- 
ckeres Eis. Die Wyborg Bucht ist an ihrem Ende mit 
15-30 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. In der Einfahrt 
kommt sehr dichtes, 10-15 cm dickes Treibeis vor. 
Im Bjerkesund und dessen Einfahrt treibt 10-20 cm 
dickes, sehr dichtes Eis. 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Mälarsee: Es treten morsches Eis und offenes 
Wasser auf. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelagos there is 20-45 
cm thick rotten fast ice. 
Swedish coast: Along the northern coast in shel- 
tered areas, there is 10-30 cm thick close to very 
olose ice in sheltered areas. In the south, 10-30 cm 
thick, rottening ice occurs close to the coasts. The 
Ängermanälven is covered by 10-40 cm thick very 
open to close ice. 
Archipelago Sea 
Finnish Coast: In the inner archipelago there is 
‚otten ice in places. 
Gulf of Finland 
Finnish Coast: In the inner archipelagos rotten 
fast ice occurs in the western and 10-30 cm thick 
rottening fast ice in the eastern part. 
Russian Coast: From the harbours of St. Peters- 
burg up to the island Kotlin the sea is covered by 
15-25 cm thick open drift ice. Further out there is 
10-15 cm thick open drift ice up to the lighthouse 
Shepelevskij. The top of the Vyborg Bay is covered 
Dy 15-30 cm thick fast ice and the entrance by 10- 
15 cm thick very close ice. In the Strait Bjerkesund 
and its entrance, 10-20 cm thick very close drift ice 
is found. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
Lake Mälaren: There rotten ice and open water 
are present. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
In den nächsten Tagen liegen die Temperaturen in 
der gesamten Ostsee über 0°C. Selten kann es in 
der Bottenwiek nachts leichten Frost geben. Der 
Wind weht meist schwach bis mäßig, in der 
Wochenmitte zeitweise auch stark aus wechselnden 
Richtungen. Die Eisbedeckung wird weiterhin 
zurückgehen. 
Expected Ice Development 
Over the next days the temperatures will be above 
D°C in the entire Baltic Sea area. Rarely light frost 
may occur in the Bay of Bothnia overnight. The 
wind blows mostly light to moderate, occasionally 
also strong on Wednesday, from changing 
directions. The ice coverage will further decrease 
aver the next days.
