Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
in den kommenden Tagen gibt es in der Bottenwiek, 
m Finnischen Meerbusen und im Rigaischen 
Meerbusen gelegentlich noch leichten Frost. Ab 
Samstag liegen die Temperaturen aber überall eher 
Iber dem Geriepunkt. Der Wind weht meist schwach 
bis mäßig, am Wochenende teilweise stark, meist 
aus südlichen Richtungen. Die Eisbildung wird sich 
daher in den kommenden Tagen einstellen. Durch 
den Wind wird das Eis am Wochenende vermutlich 
ı1ach Norden driften und sich dort 
zusammenschieben. 
Expected Ice Development 
In the coming days there will be sporadically light 
frost in the Bay of Bothnia, in the Gulf of Finland, 
and in the Gulf of Riga. However, from Saturday on 
temperatures will mostly rise above the freezing 
point. The wind blows mositly light to moderate, 
aver the weekend also strong in places, from 
southern directions. Hence, ice formation will stop 
over the next days and the ice will certainly drift 
towards the north over the weekend, where it will 
become more consolidated due to the influence of 
the wind.

Finland 
The Saimaa Canal is closed for traffic. 
Vessels bound for Gulf of Bothnia ports in which traffic restrictions apply shall, when passing Svenska Björn, 
’eport their nationality, name, port of destination, ETA and speed to ICE INFO on VHF channel 84. This re- 
port can also be given directly by phone +46 31 699 100. 
Icebreaker: KONTIO, OTSO, FREJ and NORDICA assist in the Bay of Bothnia. In the Gulf of Finland con- 
tracted tugboats assist as needed.
