Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee
Litauische Küste: Im Hafen von Klaipeda kommt
offenes Wasser vor. In der Hafeneinfahrt treibt sehr
ockeres Eis. Im nördlichen Teil des Kurischen
Äaffs liegt lockeres Packeis.
Schwedische Küste: Entlang der Küste hat sich in
geschützten Bereichen Neueis gebildet.
Mälarsee: Im Westteil liegt 10-20 cm dickes,
dichtes Eis, im Osten kommt dünnes dichtes Eis
oder offenes Wasser vor.
Westliche und Südliche Ostsee
Vänersee: Im nördlichen Teil kommt 5-15 cm di-
ckes, dichtes Eis und Neueis vor.
Central and Northern Baltic
Lithuanian Coast: In the port of Klaipeda there is
open water. In the entrances very open drift ice is
present. In the northern part of the Curonian La-
goon, open pack ice occurs.
Swedish Coast: Along the coast new ice as
formed in sheltered areas.
Lake Mälaren: In the western part there is 10-20
cm thick, close ice; thin close ice or open water is
present in the eastern part.
Western and Southern Baltic
Lake Vanern: In the north there is 5-15 cm thick
close ice and new ice.
Skagerrak, Kattegat, Belte und Sund
Norwegische Küste: Im Svinesund kommt offenes
Wasser vor. Im Mossesund liegt dichtes, 5-10 cm
dickes Packeis. In den Häfen von Oslo ist überwie-
gend Festeis und Neueis mit einer Dicke von weni-
ger als 5 cm zu finden. In Drammensfjord kommt bis
zu 5 cm dickes, lockeres Packeis und Neueis vor.
3ei Tansberg und im Sandefjord liegt stellenweise
sehr lockeres, 5-10 cm dickes Eis. Bei Larvik hat
sich Neueis gebildet. Bei Krager@ gibt es Örtlich
\Veueis, in geschützten Bereichen auch 15-30 cm
dickes Festeis. Um Arendal kommt stellenweise sehr
ockeres Packeis vor.
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung
Bis Samstag morgen kann es bis hin zur südlichen
Ostsee immer wieder leichten, in den nördlichen
Regionen auch mäßigen Frost geben. Im Laufe des
Samstags ziehen die kalten Luftmassen Richtung
Nord-Osten ab, dann wird es nur noch örtlich im
3ottnischen Meerbusen leichten Frost geben. Der
Wind weht zunächst frisch, übers Wochenende
teilweise starkt bis stürmisch aus überwiegend
südlichen Richtungen. Bei Temperaturen um den
Gefriepunkt wird es nur wenig Neueisbildung geben.
Der Wind wird das Eis an den nördlichen Küsten
aufpressen.

Skagerrak, Kattegat, Belts and Sound
Norwegian Coast: In the Svinesund there is open
water. In the Mossesund there is 5-10 cm thick,
close pack ice. In the ports of Oslofjord there is
predominantly fast ice and new ice with a thickness
of less than 5 cm. In the Drammensfjord there is up
to 5 cm thick open pack ice and new ice. Around
Tonsberg and in the Sandefjord there is very open,
5-10 cm thick ice in places. Around Larvik new ice
has formed. In the Kragero region new ice has
formed in places, in sheltered areas there is also
15-30 cm thick fast ice. In the Arendal region very
open pack ice occurs in places.
Expected Ice Development
Until Saturday morning, there may be light frost up
to the southern Baltic Sea. In the northern regions
moderate frost is possible. On Saturday, the cold
air masses will propagate towards the north east
over the course of the day. Then, frost will only
Dccur in places on the Gulf of Bothnia. The wind
Dolows first fresh, over the weekend also partly
strong to rough and mainly from southern
directions. With the temperatures varying around
the freezing point, there will be rarely new ice
formation. The wind will push the ice against the
northern coasts.
