The determination of the dissolved in-
organic phosphate ee was carried out
using an Auto-Analyzer II of the Technicon Co,,
applying the phosphormolybdenum blue method,
according to an analysis procedure of P, Mangelsdorf
(1972). Two reagent solutions were used for analysis,
Reagent Solution I contained sulphuric acid, ammonium
molybdate, and potassium antimony tartrate, Reagent
Solution II contained ascorbic acid, acetone, and
"Levor IV" (Technicon),
Flow rate of Reagent Solution I: 0,27 ml/min,.
Flow rate of Reagent Solution II: 0.27 ml/min,.
Flow rate of the seawater to be investigated:
0.80 ml/min,
Time of passage of the seawater through the whole
system (from the sample taker to the cuvette):;
ca, 8 min,
No. of samples per hour: 10.
Calibration substance: potr- iumdihydrogenphosnhate
(KH„PO,).
The dissolved oxygen was determined
by titration according to H, Winkler, in the modified
version used by K. Kalle (1939).
