Final Report of BeJamDetect Project

No critical radio frequency interference causing the failure of the array GNSS receiver of
Demonstrator 2 to acquire, track and use GPS/Galileo navigation signals in L1/E1B
frequency band could be registered.
zven after extrapolating these results on a single-antenna GNSS receiver, the probability of
the disruption/failure of such a less-resilient receiver can be considered as very low.
Typically, a strong critical interference makes itself clearly noticeable also for the array
‘eceiver. Such interference would clearly affect, for example, the signal acquisition process
ar the ranging/PVT performance.
The PVT solution was available all the time of the measurement campaign except of short
time-periods of the maintainace of the demonstrator where shutting off and on the array
'eceiver was performed.
The observed increase in the level of the RFI detection metric was often correlated with the
ship activity. The quiet period were clearly correlated with the times where the ship was
nNoored in a harbour. This fact may serve as an indication that at least part of the RFI activity
was due to the spurious radio emissions from onboard radio systems.
