Although no beamforming or array-based RFI-mitigation are used, the acquisition can go through 
all the array elements and pick up for fine acquisition (the second stage of the acquisition process) 
an array element delivering the highest signal detection metric. In this way the acquisition process 
can profit to some extent from the antenna diversity provided by the hemispheric-shaped array.
