Final Report of BeJamDetect Project
Z
Yolr
With an increment of the input RF power of almost 5.7dB, this detection comes from June 26, at
11:30:03 MET and is depicted on Figure 3-16a. The interference is characterized as a continuous-
wave signal. The RFI signal can be observed over the entire length of the snapshot for 30 ms,
possibly continuing during dead-time period. In the freguency-domain the interference signal is
characterized by a 244.2 kHz bandwidth, centered at the carrier frequency of 1572.95 MHz, ie.
2.47 MHz below the L1 carrier (see Figure 3-16b,c). This proximity seems a clear indication of
intentional interference, especially due to the high-power irradiated on the top antenna.
In the time-domain the continuous-wave has fast oscillations that reach a maximum amplitude
approximately constant throughout the snapshot (see Figure 3-17a) and a lower-freguency
behavior resembling a sinusoid envelope involving the fast oscillations (see Figure 3-17b). Periods
are unknown, but there are visual indications of uninterrupted periodic behaviors during the
recording.
