ken in de nabijheid van de Uiterton (zwarte)
van de Wester-Eems, en het wrak titans is
liggende aan den Westkant tcgen, aan of op
de Bank, kort ten Zuidwesten van genoemde
ton liggende, waarop en bij in de Neder-
landsche Zeekart der monden van dt Eems
van 1859. bijgewerkt in 1864, is gedrukt
»zandgrond« ; dat hetzelve ligt in eene diepte
van 42 decimeters met laagwater en alsdan
even zigtbaar komt.

The Commissioners of Northern Light
houses hereby give Notice, that on tin* night
of Tuesday, the 1st March 1H70, and every
night thereafter, from the going away of day
light in tin* evening till the return of day
light in the morning, a Light will be exlii-
bited from a Lighthouse which has been
erected by the Commissioners on Montrose-
ness, in tlie County of Forfar.
The following is the description of the
Light by Messrs David and Thomas Steven
son. Engineers to tin* Board:
The Lighthouse is situated on Montrose-
ness, at the southern side of tin* entrance to
the channel leading into Montrose Harbour.
It will exhibit a fixed white Light of the
second order (dioptric), and will he known
by the following characteristics: —
The light is elevated about 124 feet above
the level of high-water, and in clear weather
