a light will be exhibited from a lighthouse 
recently erected on point Anciola, "Cabrera 
island. 
The light is a revolving light, showing 
thirty seconds and eclipsed thirty se 
conds, elevated 404 feet above the sea, and 
in clear weather should be seen from a distance 
of 20 miles. 
The illuminating apparatus is dioptric or 
by lenses, of the second order. 
The tower is 81 feet high, square, painted 
light yellow, and is attached to the keeper's 
dwelling.

Information has been received that the 
position of the lighthouse on Tendra Penin 
sula is not at the extremity of the point, as 
placed on the charts, but lies S. by W. 1 , YV. 
2 3 /i miles from that position, or in lat. 46° lit' 
25" N., long. 31° 31' 30" East from Greenwich. 
Also, that a beacon stands in the pre 
viously supposed position of the lighthouse. 
(All Bearings are Magnetic. Variation 4"

Notice, that a light is now exhibited from 
a lighthouse on Tjimiring hill, island of Koun- 
bangan, Tylatiap, South coast of Java. 
The light is a revolving white light, at 
taining its greatest brilliancy every minute, 
elevated 005 feet above high water, and in 
clear weather should be seen from a distance 
of 20 miles. 
The illuminating apparatus is dioptric or 
by lenses, of the third order.
