A lighthouse is to be erected on a well- 
defined knoll, about 240 feet high, at the 
outer extremity of Nugget point, the southern 
limit of Molyneux bay, in lat. 411 27 S., 
long. 169 51 East of Greenwich. 
The intended light will be a fixed white 
light. It will show to seaward over an arc 
of about 225 : will be exhibited from an 
elevation of 252 feet above the sea level, 
and should be visible in clear weather from 
a distance of 23 miles. 
The illuminating apparatus is to be diop- 
trie, or by lenses, of the first ordre.' 
The light-tower will be of stone, painted 
white to suit the background, and wdl be 
31 feet in height from base to top of lantern. 
A lighthouse is to be erected on a knoll 
at the northern extreme of the high land 
of Gape Campbell, on the south side of the 
eastern entrance to Cook strait. 
The intended light is to be a revolting 
white light, attaining its greatest brilliancy 
once even/ minute, and will be seen all round, 
except when intercepted by the land. It will 
be exhibited from an elevation about 155 feet 
above the sea level, and in clear weather 
should be seen from a distance of 19 miles. 
The illuminating apparatus is to be diop 
tric. or by lenses, of the second order. 
The light-tower is to be an open-framed 
structure of wood, and will be about 78 feet 
high, from base to tope of lantern. Approxi
