Daher bauen wir NAUTHIS auf der Grundlage von 
sogenannten Geobaisisdaten auf. Damit wird 
NAUTHIS künftig die Entwicklung unserer vielfältigen 
Produkte von der Entwurfsherstellung bis zur laufen 
den redaktionellen Bearbeitung unmittelbar rechner 
gestützt ermöglichen und ein Maximum an räum 
licher Auflösung und Genauigkeit bieten. Bereits jetzt 
kann dort der ständig aktuell gehaltene Bestand der 
deutschen Seezeichen abgerufen werden. Als geo 
graphisches Informationssystem wird es darüber 
hinaus auch für externe behördliche Anwender, die 
Auszüge aus dem Datenbestand benötigen, zur Ver 
fügung stehen. 
Im Aufbau: Nautisch-Hydrographisches 
Zentrum in Rostock 
Sichtbare Forschritte macht die Verlagerung unserer 
Nautischen Hydrographie von Hamburg nach 
Rostock. Unseren Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern 
sollen die modernen Arbeitsplätze Im neuen Quartier 
an der Warnow Im nächsten Jahr zur Verfügung ste 
hen. Nach 140 geschichtsträchtigen Jahren der 
Hydrographie in Deutschland, die mit einem Im 
preußischen Marineministerium 1861 eingerichteten 
„Bureau“ ihren Anfang nahm und später über ver 
schiedene Vorgängerinstitutionen einer der Schwer 
punkte im BSH-Aufgabenspektrum wurde, verschiebt 
sich damit das Zentrum der nautischen Hydrographie 
jetzt zum BSH nach Rostock. 
„Steife Brise“: Offshore-Windenergie 
Längst entfaltet sich im 21. Jahrhundert eine neue 
maritime Zukunft jenseits der traditionellen Nutzun 
gen, die sich Im Laufe der Jahrhunderte zwischen 
Land und Meer entwickelt haben. Das Meer ist heute 
mehr als nur Transportweg, Nahrungsquelle und 
Erholungsraum. Nach einer durch Pipelines und För 
derplattformen geprägten Rolle als Rohstofflieferant

The transfer of our Nautical Hydrography department 
from Hamburg to Rostock is making good progress. 
Next year, our employees will move to their modern 
offices at the new Rostock headquarters overlooking 
the river Warnow. After more than 140 years of hydro-
