International: Einfluss ausbauen 
Das BSH engagiert sich intensiv auch auf internatio 
naler Bühne. Maßnahmen für mehr Sicherheit im See 
verkehr oder für einen effektiveren Meeresumwelt 
schutz sind nur durch gemeinsame Anstrengungen 
der Staatengemeinschaft erfolgreich in den Griff zu 
bekommen. In mehr als 20 internationalen Gremien 
setzt das BSH durch seine Mitarbeit Akzente, um in 
Arbeitsteilung mit anderen Nationen beispielsweise 
notwendige einheitliche Regelungen und Standards 
zu entwickeln. So lassen sich Synergieeffekte optimal 
nutzen und Doppelarbeiten von vornherein vermei 
den. 
Auch zur Optimierung und Erweiterung des Ange 
botsspektrums arbeitet das BSH eng mit ausländi 
schen Partnern zusammen. Zahlreiche bilaterale Ver 
einbarungen tragen mit dazu bei, dass unter dem 
blauen Logo amtliche Seekarten von Skandinavien 
bis Nordafrika für fast alle europäischen Seegebiete 
erscheinen.

The BSH is actively engaged on the international 
stage. Measures to improve the safety of navigation 
or the effectiveness of marine environmental protec 
tion can only be implemented successfully if they are 
supported by the community of states. The BSH 
works in more than 20 international organisations, 
where it contributes to the development of uniform 
standards and regulations, in close co-operation with 
the other nations. In this way, synergy effects can be 
achieved and double work avoided right from the 
start. 
We continually optimise our range of products and 
services and develop new products in close co-oper 
ation with our foreign partners. Backed by numerous 
bilateral agreements, the coverage of our official nau 
tical charts bearing the blue BSH logo extends 
across nearly all European sea areas from 
Scandinavia to North Africa.
