The BSH is represented in more than 20 international bodies, where it
participates in the development of uniform standards and regulations, in
co-ordination with the other states. Thanks to close co-operation, synergy
effects can be put to optimum use, and duplication can be avoided right from
the start. Also navigational charts and nautical information benefit from the
co-operation. The BSH has concluded numerous bilateral agreements with
other Hydrographic Offices to ensure that official nautical charts bearing
the blue BSH logo are available for navigation in the European waters.
