Arbeiten in den fünf verschiedenen OSPAR- 
Aufgabenbereichen (Strategien) bis 2020 unter 
besonderer Berücksichtigung des Ökosysteman 
satzes geregelt sind, stand auf dem Programm. 
Mitgearbeitet wurde zudem bei der Erstellung 
des gemeinsamen Bewertungs- und Über 
wachungsprogramms für den Zeitraum 2010 
bis 2014 (JAMP). Dieses neue JAMP ersetzt 
das bestehende und zielt insbesondere auf die 
Abstimmung von Arbeiten im Zusammenhang 
mit der Meeresstrategie-Rahmenrichtlinie ab, für 
die das OSPAR-Übereinkommen eine regionale 
Koordinationsplattform sein soll. Die Mitwirkung 
in diesen Gremien dient auch der Weiterent 
wicklung der internationalen Regelwerke für die 
Schifffahrt.

BSH also contributed to the preparation of a 
Joint Assessment and Monitoring Programme 
(JAMP) for the period from 2010 to 2014. The 
main purpose of the new JAMP, which super 
sedes the existing one, is to co-ordinate activities 
in connection with the Marine Strategy Frame 
work Directive, for which the OSPAR Convention 
will serve as a regional co-ordination platform. 
Co-operation in these bodies also serves the 
purpose of continuing to develop international 
shipping regulations.

Das Helsinki-Übereinkommen (kurz HELCOM) 
legt zum Schutz des Ökosystems der Ostsee 
umweltpolitische Grundsätze und Pflichten für 
Schutzmaßnahmen fest. Die HELCOM- „Mari 
time Group“ (MARITIME) befasst sich mit den 
Umweltaspekten der Ostseeschifffahrt, die 
Helcom- „Monitoring and Assessment Group“ 
(MONAS) mit dem Umweltzustand der Ostsee. 
Das BSH arbeitet in beiden Gremien sowie eini 
gen ihrer Fachgruppen mit. Im Jahr 2010 waren 
diese Arbeiten geprägt von dem HELCOM-Minis- 
tertreffen im Mai in Moskau. Ein Bestandteil war
