Übersicht 
Jas Eis in der Bottenvik hat stark abgenommen, 
entlang der Küsten kommt meist offenes Wasser vor 
aber auf See liegt im zentralen Bereich stellenweise 
1och sehr dichtes, morsches Eis. 
Die Beschränkungen der Schifffahrt in der 
Bottenvik wurden weiter gelockert. 
Norra Kvarken 
Südlich und östlich von MNordvalen kommen 
Bereiche mit lockerem bis sehr lockerem, morschen 
Treibeis vor, sonst überwiegend eisfrei. 
Overview 
The ice in the Bay of Bothnia has decreased 
considerably, along the coast there is mostly open 
water but at sea in the central part there is very 
zlose, rotten ice in places, 
The restrictions to navigation in the Bay of 
Bothnia were lowered further. 
Norra Kvarken 
To the south and east of Nordvalen there are areas 
with very open to open rotten drift ice, else mostly 
ice-free. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the northern archipelago there is 
open water and the central and southern 
archipelagos are ice free. Outside the northern 
archipelago there is open water and very open ice 
to Merrikallat and farther west there is 40-60 cm 
thick, ridged ice with varying concentrations 
between very open and very close. In the south 
there is very open to close, 20-50 cm thick ice at 
sea. Everywhere the ice is rottening or is rotten. - 
Swedish Coast: At sea there is in the central part 
20-60 cm thick, mostly rotten ice, in places very 
close and remains of ridges do occur. In the inner 
archipelago there is open water, farther out there is 
rotten ice. Open to very open ice is drifting south of 
Farstugrunden. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: In den nördlichen Schären kommt 
offenes Wasser vor, die südlichen Schären sind 
eisfrei. Außerhalb der Schären kommt im Norden 
zuerst offenes Wasser und sehr lockeres Eis bis 
Merikallat vor und weiter westlich liegt dann sehr 
ockeres bis sehr dichtes, 40-60cm dickes, 
aufgepresstes Eis. Im Süden liegt auf See sehr 
ockeres bis dichtes, 20-50 cm dickes Eis. Überall 
wird, oder ist das Eis morsch. - Schwedische 
Küste: Auf See liegt im zentralen Bereich 20-60 cm 
dickes, meist morsches Eis, stellenweise ist das Eis 
sehr dicht und stellenweise treiben Überreste von 
Presseisrücken. In den inneren Schären kommt 
neist offenes Wasser vor, weiter außerhalb treibt 
norsches Eis. Südlich von Farstugrunden treibt 
ıockeres bis sehr lockeres Eis. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
Bei sehr warmen, meist sonnigen Bedingungen wird 
das Eis in der Bottenvik weiterhin rasch abnehmen
