z
S-lichen Teil liegt in den Schären 35-60 cm dickes,
morsches Festeis, außerhalb davon sehr dichtes,
Übereinandergeschobenes und aufgepresstes, 30-
50 cm dickes Treibeis. Im Eisfeld kommen Brüche
vor. Schifffahrt in den Fahrwassern nach Tornio,
Kemi, Raahe und Kokkola ist schwierig. -
Schwedische Küste: In den Schären 30-80 cm
dickes Festeis. Auf See liegt sehr dichtes 30-60 cm
dickes Eis, in dem gröbere Schollen und Presseis-
rücken vorkommen. Eine 20-40 sm breite Rinne
erstreckt sich von Malören bis Norströmsgrund,
dann weiter S-wärts entlang der Küste bis Norra
Kvarken. NE-lich von Norströmsgrund verengt sich
die Rinne auf 5-10 sm. Dort und in der Skellefteä
Bucht treiben in der Rinne einige grobe Eisschollen.
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung
there is 35-60 cm thick rotten fast ice in the
archipelagos, farther off very close, rafted and
ridged 30-50 cm thick ice occurs. There are
fractures in the ice field. The fairways to Tornio,
Kemi, Raahe and Kokkola are difficult to force. -
Swedish Coast: In the archipelagos there is 30-80
cm thick fast ice. At sea there is mostly very close
30-60 cm thick ice with heavy floes and ridges. A
20-40 nm wide lead stretches from Malören to
Norströmsgrund, then farther southwards along the
coast to MNorra Kvarken. MNortheast of
Norströmsgrund the lead narrows to 5-10 nm width.
There and in the Bight of Skelleftea some heavy
ice floes are drifting in the lead.
Expected Ice Development
In the region of the northern Gulf of Bothnia, the
weak to moderate winds will come from westerly to
northerly directions during the next three days. Due
to the onshore winds the ice situation off the
5innish coast in the Bay of Bothnia will remain
difficult. Despite local night frost, the significant
increase of the day temperatures will lead to an
accelerated ice decrease in Norra Kvarken and in
the southern Bay of Bothnia. In the northern Bay of
Bothnia the ice will become more and more rotten.
