Finland
Vessels bound for ports in the Gulf of Bothnia shall report to ICE INFO on VHF Channel 84 when passing the
Svenska Björn lighthouse.
icebreaker: KONTIO, URHO and OTSO assist in the northern Bay of Bothnia, SISU works in the southern
Bay of Bothnia. PROTECTOR and LETTO assist in Lake Saimaa.
Russia
icebreaker: Icebreaker SEMYAN DEZNEV assists vessels in the port of St. Petersburg. In the ports Vyborg and
Vysotsk vessels are assisted by icebreakers TOR and KAPITAN IZMAILOW. ERMAK and MOSKVA are
working in the port of Primorsk. KARU is assisting in the port Ust Luga. On the fairway from the receiving buoy to
the island Gogland vessels are assisted by icebreaker KAPITAN SOROKIN.
Sweden
Vessels not suitable for winter navigation, river vessels and tugs with barge can not expect governmental
cebreaker assistance.
Vessels bound for ports subject to traffic restrictions in Gulf of Bothnia shall, when passing Svenska Björn
'59°33’N 20°01’E), report to ICEINFO on VHF channel 84.
Arrival report is to be made to ICEINFO, on VHF channel 16, when the ship is well moored, including ship’s
ıame, ETD and next port of destination.
Departure report is to be made to ICEINFO, on VHF channel 16, at least 6 hours before departure.
Icebreaker: YMER assists in the northern Bay of Bothnia, ATLE in the Quark, FREJ in the northern Sea of
3othnia and in the Quark.
