Fahrwasser Mersrags — Irbenstraße treibt Örtlich open 10-30 cm thick rotten ice is drifting, in places.

Finnischer Meerbusen 
Finnische Küste: Das Festeis in den W-lichen 
Schären ist 20-50 cm dick und morsch. Außerhalb 
davon kommt etwa bis zur Linie Utö — Russarö — 
Porkkala — Harmaja — Tiiskeri sehr lockeres 10-40 
cm dickes, morsch werdendes Eis und offenes 
Wasser vor. Die E-lichen Schären sind mit 25-60 cm 
dickem morschen Festeis bedeckt. Außerhalb davon 
ritt bis zur Linie Porvoo — Bol'Soj Tuters sehr dichtes 
25-45 cm dickes Eis, aber in der Umgebung von 
Tiiskeri und Orrengrund kommen Rinnen vor. Weiter 
W-wärts tritt offenes wasser auf. Saimaasee: 20-60 
cm dickes, teilweise morsches Eis. - Russische 
Küste: In den Häfen von St. Petersburg und im 
Fahrwasser weiter bis zur Länge der E-Spitze von 
Kotlin kommt offenes Wasser vor, dann tritt bis zur 
_änge von Kronstadt dichtes 25-35 cm dickes Eis 
auf, anschließend treibt bis zur Länge vom Kap 
Ustinskij sehr lockeres Eis. Außerhalb davon kommt 
bis zur Eisgrenze, die auf der Linie Vigrund — Malyj 
T'uters — Gogland — Porvoo verläuft, überwiegend 
sehr dichtes 20-30 cm dickes Eis vor. - Die 
Vyborgbucht ist bis zur Breite vom Kap Krestovyj mit 
30-40 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt, außerhalb davon 
sehr dichtes 20-30 cm dickes Eis. - Im Berkezund 
liegt 20-40 cm dickes Festeis, anschließend sehr 
dichtes 20-30 cm dickes Eis. - In der Lugabucht 
kommt offenes Wasser, in der Einfahrt sehr dichtes 
15-30 cm dickes Eis und sehr lockeres Eis vor. An 
der Küste der Copora Bucht liegt 15-30 cm dickes 
morsches Festeis, in der Einfahrt treibt sehr lockeres 
Eis. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 30-50 cm dickes 
morsches Festeis, in den äußeren Schären 15-35 
cm dickes, morsches ebenes Eis und zusammen- 
hängendes Treibeis bis Kökar. Außerhalb davon 
treibt sehr lockeres Eis. 
Älandsee 
im N-Teil treibt meist lockeres 5-25 cm dickes Eis, 
S-lich der Breite von Mariehamn kommt offenes 
Wasser vor. Schifffahrt durch den Oregrundsgrepen 
ist nicht empfehlenswert. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 25-60 cm 
dickes, morsch werdendes Festeis. Außerhalb 
davon kommt meist lockeres bis sehr lockeres, 
morsch werdendes 10-20 cm dickes Eis und einige 
3Zereiche mit sehr dichtem bis dichtem, morsch 
werdenden 10-40 cm dicken Eis vor. - 
Schwedische Küste: In den Schären 20-40 cm 
dickes Festeis. Im N kommt lockeres bis dichtes 5- 
25 cm dickes Eis oder offenes Wasser, im W ein 30- 
40 sm breites eisfreies Gebiet vor. Im zentralen 
Bereich und im E-Teil tritt wechselweise dichtes bis 
Gulf of Finland 
Finnish Coast: In the western archipelagos there is 
20-50 cm thick rotten fast ice, farther out very open 
10-40 cm thick rottening ice and open water occurs 
up to the line Utö — Russarö — Porkkala — Harmaja 
Tiskeri. The eastern archipelagos are covered 
with 25-60 cm thick rotten fast ice. Farther off there 
is very close 25-45 cm thick ice up to the line 
Porvoo — Bol'Soj Tuters, but there are leads in the 
vicinity of Tiiskeri and Orrengrund. Farther to the 
west there is open water. Lake Saimaa: 20-60 cm 
'hick, partly rotten ice. - Russian Coast: In the 
n1arbours of St. Petersburg and farther out on the 
fairway to the longitude of the eastern point of Kotlin 
there is open water, followed by close 25-35 cm thick 
‘ce to Kronstadt and very open ice to the longitude of 
Dape Ustinskij. Farther out there is mostly very 
close 20-30 cm thick ice up to the ice edge along the 
ine Vigrund — Malyj T'uters — Gogland — Porvoo. - 
The Vyborg Bay is covered up to the latitude of Cape 
Krestovy] with 30-40 cm thick fast ice, then very close 
20-30 cm thick ice occurs. - In Berkezund there is 
20-40 cm thick fast ice, followed by very close 20- 
30 cm thick ice. - In the Luga Bay there is open 
water, in the entrance very close 15-30 cm thick ice 
and very open ice occurs. Along the coast of the 
Copora Bay there is 15-30 cm thick rotten fast ice, 
in the entrance very open ice is drifting. 
Archipelago Sea 
There is 30-50 cm thick rotten fast ice in the inner 
archipelago. In the outer skerries there is 15-35 cm 
thick rotten level ice and consolidated drift ice to 
Kökar. Farther off very open ice is drifting. 
Sea of Äland 
'n the northern part there is mostly open 5-25 cm 
ihick ice, south of the latitude of Mariehamn open 
water OCcCurS. Transit traffic through 
Oregrundsgrepen is not advisable. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelago there is 25-60 
am thick rottening fast ice. Farther out there is 
mostly open to very open, rottening 10-20 cm thick 
ice, some areas of very close to close, 10-40 cm 
thick, rottening ice occur in-between. - Swedish 
Coast: In the archipelago 20-40 cm thick fast ice. 
Farther out there is mostly open to close 5-25 cm 
thick ice or open water in the north and a 30-40 nm 
wide ice-free area in the west. In the central and 
eastern part alternating close to very open, 10-40 
cm thick, rottening ice occurs. In the Gävle Bight
