etwa bis zur Linie Bengtskär — Jussarö — Harmaja 
10-40 cm dickes Eis unterschiedlicher Konzentration 
vor. Die E-lichen Schären sind mit 25-60 cm dickem 
morschen Festeis bedeckt. Außerhalb davon tritt bis 
zur Linie Porvoo — Bol'Soj Tuters sehr dichtes 25-45 
cm dickes Eis, dann offenes Wasser auf. SW-lich 
von Orrengrund befindet sich eine etwa 4-16 sm 
breite Rinne. - Russische Küste: In den Häfen von 
St. Petersburg kommt sehr lockeres Eis vor. Weiter 
W-wärts im Fahrwasser tritt bis zur Länge von Kotlin 
sehr dichtes bis dichtes 35-55 cm dickes Eis auf, 
dann treibt bis zur Länge vom Leuchtturm Krasnaja 
Gorka sehr lockeres Eis. Anschließend kommt sehr 
dichtes 25-40 cm dickes Eis bis Hogland vor, aber 
um Hogland liegt ein Bereich mit offenem Wasser. 
Weiter westwärts ist überwiegend eisfrei. - Die 
Vyborgbucht ist bis zur Breite vom Kap Krestovyj] mit 
45-55 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt, außerhalb davon 
sehr dichtes bis dichtes 25-40 cm dickes Eis. - Im 
Berkezund liegt 40-55 cm dickes Festeis, anschlie- 
Bend sehr dichtes bis dichtes 25-40 cm dickes Eis. - 
in der Lugabucht treiben an der Küste Streifen mit 
dichtem Eis, sonst kommt offenes Wasser vor. In 
der Einfahrt tritt sehr dichtes bis dichtes 25-35 cm 
dickes Eis auf. An der Küste der Copora Bucht liegt 
20-35 cm dickes Festeis, in der Einfahrt dichtes bis 
sehr dichtes 25-40 cm dickes Eis. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 30-50 cm dickes, 
morsches Festeis, in den äußeren Schären 15-35 
cm dickes morsches ebenes Eis und zusammen- 
hängendes Treibeis bis Utö. 
Älandsee 
Im N-Teil kommt sehr dichtes 10-35 cm dickes Eis 
mit einigen groben Schollen um Märket, sonst 
lockeres bis sehr lockeres Eis vor. Schifffahrt durch 
den Oregrundsgrepen ist nicht empfehlenswert. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 25-60 cm 
dickes, morsch werdendes Festeis. Anschließend 
kommt dichtes und sehr dichtes, aufgepresstes 10- 
40 cm dickes Eis vor. - Schwedische Küste: In den 
Schären liegt 20-40 cm dickes Festeis. Anschlie- 
3end kommt von Brämön bis zur Gävlebucht eine 
20-30 sm breite Rinne mit offenem Wasser vor. Eine 
große grobe Scholle befindet sich direkt SW-lich von 
Sylen. In der Gävlebucht kommt dicht an der Küste 
sehr dichtes 10-30 cm dickes Eis, außerhalb davon 
;ockeres bis sehr lockeres Eis vor. Bei Grundkallen 
tritt dichtes 20-40 cm dickes Eis auf. Weiter E-lich 
liegt meist dichtes bis sehr dichtes 20-40 cm dickes 
Eis. Der Angermanälven ist mit kompaktem bis zu 
50 cm dicken Eis bedeckt. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären von Vaasa liegt 
40-60 cm dickes Festeis, dann von Nora Gloppsten

water around Hogland. Farther westwards there is 
mostly ice-free. - The Vyborg Bay is covered up to 
ihe latitude of Cape Krestovy] with 45-55 cm thick fast 
ice, then very close and close 25-40 cm thick ice 
accurs. - In Berkezund there is 40-55 cm thick fast 
ice, followed by very close to close 25-40 cm thick 
ice. - In the Luga Bay strips of close ice are drifting 
at the coast, else open water occurs. In the 
antrance there is very close to close 20-35 cm thick 
ice. Along the coast of the Copora Bay there is 20- 
35 cm thick fast ice, in the entrance there is close 
and very close 25-40 cm thick ice. 
Archipelago Sea 
There is 30-50 cm thick rotten fast ice in the inner 
archipelago. In the outer skerries there is 15-35 cm 
chick rotten level ice and consolidated drift ice to 
Utö. 
Sea of Äland 
In the northern part there is very close 10-35 cm 
thick ice with some heavier floes around Märket, 
otherwise, open to very open ice occurs. Transit 
traffic through Oregrundsgrepen is not advisable. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelago 25-60 cm thick 
ottening fast ice occurs. Farther out close and very 
zlose, ridged 10-40 cm thick ice occurs. - Swedish 
Coast: In the archipelago 20-40 cm thick fast ice. 
Farther out there is from Brämön to the Gävle Bight 
a 20-30 nm wide lead with open water. Single large 
and thick floe is located just southwest of Sylen. In 
the Gävle Bight there is very close 10-30 cm thick 
ice close to the coast and open and very open ice 
farther out. Around Grundkallen there is very close 
20-40 cm thick ice. Farther east there is mostly 
slose to very close 20-40 cm thick ice. The 
Angermanälven is covered with compact up to 50 
cm thick ice.
