Transit traffic through western part of the Quark is prohibited. 
Transit traffic through Öregrundsgrepen and Kalmarsund is not advisable. 
Vessels not suitable for winter navigation, river vessels and tugs with barge can not expect governmental 
cebreaker assistance. 
Vessels bound for ports subject to traffic restrictions in Gulf of Bothnia shall, when passing Svenska Björn 
(59° 33’N 20° 01’E), report to ICEINFO on VHF channel 84. 
Arrival report is to be made to ICEINFO, on VHF channel 16, when the ship is well moored, including ship’s 
ı1ame, ETD and next port of destination. 
Jeparture report is to be made to ICEINFO, on VHF channel 16, at least 6 hours before departure. 
'cebreaker: FREJ and ATLE assist in the Bay of Bothnia. BALDER VIKING assists in the Quark. YMER 
assists in the southern Sea of Bothnia and in the Äland Sea. ALE and SCANDICA assist in Lake Vänern.
