Entlang des Värmlandsnäs verläuft eine Rinne und 
im Norden kommen außerhalb des Festeises 
Spalten vor. Das Eis wird morsch. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: Im Moonsund liegt 20-40 cm 
dickes Festeis und dichtes Eis. Die westliche 
Pärnubucht ist mit 40-50 cm dickem Festeis be- 
deckt, im Osten liegt dichtes Eis. Weiter im Fahr- 
wasser zur Irbenstraße liegt 15-35cm dickes, dichtes 
und sehr dichtes Eis. In der Irbenstraße kommt 
offenes Wasser vor. - Lettische Küste: Der Hafen 
von Riga und das Fahrwasser bis Kolka sind eisfrei. 
In der Irbenstraße kommt offenes Wasser vor. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Narva Bucht Festeis an der 
Küste, außerhalb davon lockeres 15-30 cm dickes 
Eis. In der Kundabucht offenes Wasser. In der 
Vuugabucht an der Küste Festeis und offenes 
Wasser außerhalb davon. In der Bucht von Tallinn 
offenes Wasser. Weiter außerhalb liegt 15-35cm 
dickes, dichtes und sehr dichtes Eis, welches im 
Nesten nicht ganz bis nach Osmussaar reicht. - 
Finnische Küste: Das Festeis in den Schären ist im 
Westen 20-50 cm, im Osten 25-60 cm dick. Außer- 
halb davon liegt im Westen 10-40cm dickes, dichtes 
Jnd sehr dichtes Eis. Im Osten liegt außerhalb des 
Festeises ein 3-20sm breites Gebiet mit sehr 
;ockerem Eis und offenem Wasser; anschließend 
dann 25-45cm dickes, dichtes bis sehr dichtes Eis, - 
Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St. Petersburg 
‚legt Festeis, Weiter W-lich im Fahrwasser bis Kotlin 
45-65 cm dickes Festeis, dann sehr dichtes 30-50 
cm dickes Eis bis MoSCnyj, anschließend sehr 
dichtes bis dichtes 25-40 cm dickes Eis bis zur 
Länge von Vaindlo gefolgt von dichtem bis 
'ockerem, 15-35 cm dickem Eis. - Die Vyborgbucht 
ist mit 45-65 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt, weiter bis 
zum Leuchtturm Sommers kommt sehr dichtes 30- 
50 cm dickes Eis, dann sehr dichtes 25-40 cm 
dickes Eis vor. - Im Berkezund liegt 45-65 cm dickes 
Festeis, in der Einfahrt sehr dichtes 30-50 cm dickes 
Eis. - In der Lugabucht 25-45 cm dickes Festeis bis 
zur Breite von Kap Luto, anschließend sehr dichtes 
25-45 cm dickes Eis. In der Copora Bucht 25-45 cm 
dickes Festeis an der Küste, dann kommt sehr 
dichtes 25-45 cm dickes Eis vor. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 30-50 cm dickes Fest- 
eis, in den äußeren Schären 15-35 cm dickes 
ebenes Eis und zusammenhängendes Treibeis bis 
Utö. Weiter südlich treibt bei Bogskär 5-30cm 
dickes, lockeres bis sehr lockeres Eis.

close ice, 20-40 cm thick. There is a lead along the 
Värmlandsnäs and cracks occur outside the 
northern fast ice. The ice is rottening. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: In Moon Sound there is 20-40 cm 
fast and close ice. In the western Pärnu Bay there 
is 40-50 cm thick fast ice and in the eastern part 
there is close ice. Farther out on the fairway to 
''ben Strait there is close to very close ice, 15-35 
cm thick. In the Irben Strait there is open water. - 
Latvian Coast: The port of Riga and the fairway to 
Kolka are ice-free. There is open water in the Irben 
Strait. 
Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: In the Bight of Narva there is fast 
ice near the coast and open 15-30 cm thick ice 
farther out. In the Kunda Bay there is open water. In 
the Muuga Bay there is fast ice near the coast and 
open water farther out. In the Tallinn Bay there is 
open water. Farther out there is 15-35cm tick, close 
and very close ice, the western extension does not 
quite reach Osmussaar. - Finnish Coast: In the 
archipelagos there is 20-50 cm thick fast ice in the 
west and 25-60 cm thick fast ice in the east. Farther 
out there is 10-40cm thick close and very close ice 
in the west. In the east there is a 3-20nm wide zone 
off the fast ice with very open ice and open water, 
farther south then 25-45cm tick, close and very 
2lose ice. - Russian Coast: In the harbours of St. 
Petersburg there is fast ice. Farther westwards on the 
fairway 45-65 cm thick fast ice occurs to Kotlin, then 
very close 30-50 cm thick ice to MoSCnyj, followed by 
very close to close 25-40 cm thick ice to the 
longitude of Vaindlo folowed by open to close 15-35 
cm thick ice. - The Vyborg Bay is covered with 45-65 
cm thick fast ice, followed by very close 30-50 cm 
thick ice up to the lighthouse Sommers. Farther out 
there is very close 25-40 cm thick ice. - In Berkezund 
there is 45-65 cm thick fast ice, in the entrance 
there is very close 30-50 cm thick ice. - In the Luga 
Bay there is 25-45 cm thick fast ice up to the 
latitude of Cape Luto, farther out there is very close 
25-45 cm thick ice. In the Copora Bay 25-45 cm 
thick fast ice along the coast, farther out there is 
very close 25-45 cm thick ice 
Archipelago Sea 
There is 30-50 cm thick fast ice in the inner 
archipelago. In the outer skerries, 15-35 cm thick 
level ice and consolidated drift ice to Utö. Further 
south 5-30cm thick, open to very open ice is drfiting 
near Bogskär.
