Übersicht 
Jer jahreszeitliche Eisrückgang im S-lichen Ostsee- 
-aum und im Bereich der mittleren und N-lichen 
Ostsee hat sich fortgesetzt. 
Overview 
The seasonal ice retreat in the southern region of 
the Baltic Sea and in the area of central and 
northern Baltic continued. 
Nordsee 
Dänische Küste: Stellenweise kommt in ge- 
schützten inneren Gewässern morsches Eis vor. 
North Sea 
Danish Coast: In the sheltered inshore waters 
there is still rotten ice, in places. 
Skagerrak, Kattegat, Belts and Sound 
Danish Coast: Remnants of rotten ice in small 
harbours and sheltered and shallow coastal waters. 
Norwegian Coast: In some inner fjords along the 
coast there is open to close 10-30 cm thick ice and 
up to 50 cm thick fast ice. - Swedish Coast: In the 
archipelagos there is 10-30 cm thick rotten ice. 
Skagerrak, Kattegat, Belte und Sund 
Dänische Küste: Morsche Reste in kleineren Häfen 
Und geschützt liegenden sowie flachen 
«üstengewässern. - Norwegische Küste: In einigen 
nneren Fjorden entlang der Küste lockeres bis 
dichtes 10-30 cm dickes Eis und bis zu 50 cm dickes 
Festeis. - Schwedische Küste: In den Schären 
kommt 10-30 cm dickes morsches Eis vor. 
Westliche und Südliche Ostsee 
Dänische Küste: In kleineren Häfen und geschützt 
'jegenden und flachen Küstengewässern liegt bis zu 
15 cm dickes morsches Eis. - Litauische Küste: Im 
Kurischen Haff liegt verbrochenes Festeis, - 
Schwedische Küste: Bei Karlskrona lockeres bis 
sehr lockeres 5-20 cm dickes Eis. 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Lettische Küste: Im Hafen von Ventspils sehr 
ockeres Eis. - Schwedische Küste: In den inneren 
Schären liegt 10-40 cm dickes, morsch werdendes 
Festeis, es kommen auch offene Stellen vor. Im 
Kalmarsund kommt dichtes, bis zu 30 cm dickes Eis 
vor; Schifffahrt durch Kalmarsund ist nicht em- 
pfehlenswert. Mälarsee: Mit bis zu 40 cm dickem, 
Western and Southern Baltic 
Danish Coast: In small harbours and sheltered and 
shallow coastal waters there is up to 15 cm thick 
rotten ice. - Lithuanian Coast: In the Courland 
_agoon there is broken fast ice. - Swedish Coast: 
At Karlskrona there is open to very open 5-20 cm 
thick ice. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
Latvian Coast: In the port of Ventspils very open 
ice. - Swedish coast: In the inner archipelagos 
there is 10-40 cm thick rottening fast ice with some 
open areas. In Kalmarsund there is close, up to 30 
cm thick drift ice; Transit traffic through Kalmarsund 
is not advisable. Lake Mälaren: Covered with up to 
40 cm thick rottening fast ice. In the central part
