in der Skellefteä Bucht liegt ebenes 5-30 cm dickes 
ris. S-lich von 6440'N tritt überwiegend 10-50 cm 
dickes ebenes Eis mit einigen Rissen. Im Eisfeld 
kommen dicht an der Küste Presseisrücken vor. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
Am Wochenende wird das Eis im N-lichen 
Bottnischen Meerbusen SW- bis W-wärts treiben, an 
der schwedischen Küste sind Eispressungen zu 
erwarten. Im Finnischen und Rigaischen Meerbusen 
ist bei ansteigenden Lufttemperaturen und 
zeitweiligem Regen mit beginnendem Eisrückgang 
zu rechnen. Insgesamt wird die Eisbedeckung im N- 
lichen Ostseeraum von Süden her etwas abnehmen.

Skellefteä there is 5-30 cm thick level ice. South of 
6440'N there is mostly 10-50 cm level ice with 
some cracks. In the ice field ridges occur in the 
area close to the coast. 
Expected Ice Development 
During the week-end, the ice in the northern Gulf of 
Bothnia will drift towards southwest to west, ice 
pressure is expected at the Swedish coast. In the 
Gulf of Riga and in the Gulf of Finland, ice retreat 
will slowly start at increasing air temperatures and 
temporary rain. Altogether, ice cover in the 
northern region of the Baltic Sea will somewhat 
decrease from the south.
