ebenes Eis oder Neueis vor. - Russische Küste: In 
den Häfen von St. Petersburg liegt Festeis. Weiter 
W-lich im Fahrwasser bis Kotlin 45-65 cm dickes 
Festeis, dann sehr dichtes 30-45 cm dickes Eis bis 
MoSEnyj, anschließend sehr dichtes 20-35 cm 
dickes Eis. - Die Vyborgbucht ist mit 45-60 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt, weiter bis zum Leuchtturm 
Sommers kommt sehr dichtes 30-45 cm dickes Eis 
vor, dann sehr dichtes 20-35 cm dickes Eis. - Im 
Berkezund liegt 40-55 cm dickes Festeis, in der 
Einfahrt sehr dichtes 30-45 cm dickes Eis. - In der 
-ugabucht 25-40 cm dickes Festeis bis zur Breite 
von Kap Luto, anschließend sehr dichtes 25-40 cm 
dickes Eis. In der Copora Bucht 25-40 cm dickes 
Festeis an der Küste, dann kommt sehr dichtes 25- 
40 cm dickes Eis vor.

Coast: In the archipelagos there is 20-60 cm thick

very close 20-35 cm thick ice. - The Vyborg Bay is 
zovered with 45-60 cm thick fast ice, followed by very 
slose 30-45 cm thick ice up to the lighthouse 
Sommers. Farther out there is very close 20-35 cm 
thick ice. - In Berkezund there is 40-55 cm thick fast 
‘ce, in the entrance there is very close 30-45 cm 
thick ice. - In the Luga Bay there is 25-40 cm thick 
fast ice up to the latitude of Cape Luto, farther out 
there is very close 25-40 cm thick ice. In the Copora 
Bay 25-40 cm thick fast ice along the coast, farther 
out there is very close 25-40 cm thick ice. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 30-50 cm dickes Fest- 
eis, in den äußeren Schären 15-35 cm dickes 
ebenes Eis und zusammenhängendes Treibeis bis 
Jtö. Weiter außerhalb kommt Neueis vor. 
Älandsee 
Eine schmale Rinne verläuft von etwa 2 sm NE-lich 
von Orskär über Grundkallen S-wärts. E-lich der 
Rinne kommt dichtes 5-20 cm dickes Treibeis vor. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 25-60 cm 
dickes Festeis. Außerhalb der Festeiskante kommt 
auf 25-70 sm Zzusammengeschobenes, stark 
aufgepresstes 10-35 cm dickes Eis vor. - 
Schwedische Küste: Im N-Teil meist 5-15 cm 
dickes ebenes Eis, weiter S-wärts kommt offenes 
Wasser oder Neueis vor, aber zwischen Västra 
Banken und XGrundkallen sowie zwischen 
Grundkallen und Finngrundet liegt sehr dichtes 15- 
30 cm dickes Eis mit schwierigen Presseisrücken. 
Der Angermanälven ist mit bis zu 50 cm dickem 
Festeis bedeckt. 
Archipelago Sea 
There is 30-50 cm thick fast ice in the inner 
archipelago. In the outer skerries, 15-35 cm thick 
level ice and consolidated drift ice to Utö. Farther 
out there is new ice. 
Sea of Äland 
A narrow lead runs from approximately 2 nm east 
of Örskär via Grundkallen southwards. East of the 
lead there is close 5-20 cm thick drift ice. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelago 25-60 cm thick 
last ice occurs. Off the fast ice edge there is for 25- 
70 nm compact, heavily ridged 10-35 cm thick ice. 
Swedish Coast: In the northern part mostly 5-15 
om thick level ice, farther southwards open water or 
n1ew ice occurs, but between Västra Banken and 
Grundkallen as well as between Grundkallen and 
Finngrundet there is very close 15-30 cm thick ice 
with heavy ridges. The Ängermanälven is covered 
with up to 50 cm thick fast ice. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: Von Vaasa bis Norra Gloppsten 
‚legt 40-60 cm dickes Festeis. Außerhalb davon 
xommt bis Norrskär sehr dichtes und übereinander- 
geschobenes 15-40 cm dickes Eis vor. - 
Schwedische Küste: E-lich von Holmöarna und 
weiter S-wärts bis Sydostbrotten liegt meist 5-15 cm 
dickes ebenes Eis. Eine schmale Rinne verläuft von 
etwa 3 sm S-lich von Nordvalen NE-wärts bis 
Pietarsaarl. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: Die Schären sind im Norden mit 
40-85 cm, im mittleren und S-lichen Teil mit 35-60 
cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. Außerhalb davon 
kommt im Norden zusammenhängendes, stark auf-
