Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Narva Bucht Festeis an der 
«üste und sehr dichtes 10-20 cm dickes Eis 
außerhalb davon. In der Kundabucht lockeres 
Neueis, in der Muugabucht treibt lockeres Eis, in der 
Tallinnbucht kommt dichtes bis sehr dichtes 15-30 
cm dickes Eis vor. Auf See E-lich von Tallinn sehr 
dichtes 15-30 cm dickes Eis, W-lich davon dichtes 
bis sehr dichtes 10-30 dickes Eis. - Finnische 
Küste: In den Schären liegt 20-50 cm dickes 
Festeis. Außerhalb davon kommt erst auf 5-20 sm 
sehr lockeres dünnes, dann sehr dichtes 15-40 cm 
dickes Eis mit schweren Aufpressungen im E-Teil 
vor. - Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St. 
Petersburg liegt Festeis. Weiter W-lich im 
Fahrwasser bis Kotlin 45-65 cm dickes Festeis, 
dann sehr dichtes, pressendes 30-45 cm dickes Eis 
bis MoS&Enyj, gefolgt von sehr dichtem 15-30 cm 
dicken Eis. Dicht bei der Insel Malyj kommen eisfreie 
3Zereiche vor. - Die Vyborgbucht ist mit 45-60 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt, weiter bis zum Leuchtturm 
Sommers kommt sehr dichtes, pressendes 30-45 
cm dickes Eis vor, dann sehr dichtes 20-30 cm 
dickes Eis. - Im Berkezund liegt 40-55 cm dickes 
Festeis, in der Einfahrt sehr dichtes, pressendes 30- 
45 cm dickes Eis. - In der Lugabucht 25-40 cm 
dickes Festeis bis zur Breite von Kap Luto, 
anschließend sehr dichtes 25-40 cm dickes Eis mit 
3Zereichen sehr lockeres Treibeises dazwischen. In 
der Copora Bucht 25-40 cm dickes Festeis an der 
Küste, dann kommt sehr dichtes 25-40 cm dickes 
Eis vor. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 25-50 cm dickes Fest- 
eis, in den äußeren Schären 15-35 cm dickes 
ebenes Eis und zusammenhängendes Treibeis bis 
Utö. 
Älandsee 
Auf See meist offenes Wasser. An der 
schwedischen Küste und S-lich von Aland liegt sehr 
dichtes 10-30 cm dickes Eis. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 25-50 cm 
dickes Festeis. Außerhalb der Festeiskante erstreckt 
sich ein schmales Gebiet mit kompaktem 10-30 cm 
dicken Eis, anschließend liegt etwa bis zur Linie 
Norrskär — Gävle sehr dichtes 5-30 cm dickes Eis 
nit offenen Bereichen dazwischen. Außerhalb 
Isokari ist das KEisfeld stark aufgepresst. - 
Schwedische Küste: Außerhalb der Küste verläuft 
S-wärts bis Söderhamn eine 30-40 sm breite Rinne 
nit einzelnen groben Eisschollen, weiter S-wärts 
erstreckt sich eine 5-15 sm breite Rinne. E-lich 
davon kommt dichtes bis sehr dichtes 15-40 cm 
dickes Eis mit _Presseisrücken vor. Der 
Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: In The Bight of Narva there is fast 
ce near the coast and very close 10-20 cm thick ice 
farther out. In the Kunda Bay there is open new ice, 
'n the Muuga Bay open ice is drifting, in the Tallinn 
Bay there is close to very close 15-30 cm thick ice. 
At sea east of Tallinn there is very close 15-30 cm 
thick ice, west of it close to very close 10-30 cm 
'hick ice occurs. - Finnish Coast: In the 
archipelagos there is 20-50 cm thick fast ice. 
Farther out there is first for 5-20 nm open thin ice, 
then very close 15-40 cm thick ice, heavily ridged in 
Ihe eastern part. - Russian Coast: In the harbours 
af St. Petersburg there is fast ice. Farther westwards 
an the fairway 45-65 cm thick fast ice occurs to Kotlin, 
then very close, compressed 30-45 cm thick ice to 
MoSCnyj, followed by very close 15-30 cm thick ice. 
Slose to the island Malyj there are ice-free areas. - 
The Vyborg Bay is covered with 45-60 cm thick fast 
ice, followed by very close, compressed 30-45 cm 
thick ice up to the lighthouse Sommers. Farther out 
there is very close 20-30 cm thick ice. - In Berkezund 
there is 40-55 cm thick fast ice, in the entrance 
there is very close, compressed 30-45 cm thick ice. 
In the Luga Bay there is 25-40 cm thick fast ice up 
lo the latitude of Cape Luto, farther out there is very 
olose 25-40 cm thick ice with areas of very open 
drift ice in-between. In the Copora Bay 25-40 cm 
thick fast ice along the coast, farther out there is 
very close 25-40 cm thick ice. 
Archipelago Sea 
There is 25-50 cm thick fast ice in the inner 
archipelago. In the outer skerries, 15-35 cm thick 
level ice and consolidated drift ice to Utö. 
Sea of Äland 
At sea mostly open water. At the swedish coast 
and south of Äland very close 10-30 cm thick ice 
OCccurs. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelago 25-50 cm thick 
fast ice occurs. Off the fast ice edge there is a 
narrow zone of compact 10-30 cm thick ice. Farther 
aut there is approximately to the line Norrskär — 
Gävle very close 5-30 cm thick ice with open areas 
N-between. Off Isokari the ice field is heavily 
'idged. - Swedish Coast: Off the coast a 30-40 nm 
wide lead with single heavy floes runs southwards 
io Söderhamn, farther southwards there is a 5-15 
ım wide lead. East of it close to very close 15-40 
m thick ice with ridges occurs. The 
Ängermanälven is covered with up to 50 cm thick 
fast ice.
