Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Narva Bucht Festeis an der 
Küste und sehr dichtes Eis außerhalb davon. In der 
Aunda-, Muuga- und Tallinnbucht liegt dichtes bis 
sehr dichtes Eis. Auf See E-lich von Tallinn sehr 
dichtes 15-30 cm dickes Eis, W-lich davon dichtes 
bis sehr dichtes 10-25 dickes Eis. - Finnische 
Küste: In den Schären liegt 20-50 cm dickes 
Festeis. Außerhalb davon kommt erst auf 3-10 sm 
dünnes ebenes Eis oder Neueis, dann sehr dichtes 
15-40 cm dickes Eis mit schweren Aufpressungen 
m E-Teil vor. - Russische Küste: In den Häfen von 
St. Petersburg liegt Festeis. Weiter W-lich im 
Fahrwasser bis Kotlin 45-65 cm dickes Festeis, 
dann sehr dichtes, pressendes 30-45 cm dickes Eis 
Dis MoSEnyj, gefolgt von sehr dichtem 15-30 cm 
dicken Eis. - Die Vyborgbucht ist mit 45-60 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt, weiter bis zum Leuchtturm 
Sommers kommt sehr dichtes, pressendes 30-45 
cm dickes Eis vor, dann sehr dichtes 20-30 cm 
dickes Eis. - Im Berkezund liegt 40-55 cm dickes 
Festeis, in der Einfahrt sehr dichtes, pressendes 30- 
45 cm dickes Eis. - In der Lugabucht 25-40 cm 
dickes Festeis bis zur Breite von Kap Luto, dann 
dichtes 25-40 cm dickes Eis. In der Copora Bucht 
25-40 cm dickes Festeis an der Küste, anschließend 
eine Rinne mit sehr lockerem Treibeis. In der Ein- 
fahrt kommt sehr dichtes 25-40 cm dickes Eis vor. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 25-50 cm dickes Fest- 
eis, in den äußeren Schären 15-30 cm dickes 
ebenes Eis und zusammengefrorenes Treibeis bis 
Jtö. Weiter außerhalb Neueis. 
Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: In The Bight of Narva there is fast 
ice near the coast and very close ice farther out. In 
Kunda, Muuga and Tallinn Bays there is close to 
very close ice. At sea east of Tallinn there is very 
close 15-30 cm thick ice, west of it close to very 
2lose 10-25 cm thick ice occurs. - Finnish Coast: 
In the archipelagos there is 20-50 cm thick fast ice. 
—arther out there is first for 3-10 nm thin level ice 
and new ice, then very close 15-40 cm thick ice, 
1eavily ridged in the eastern part. - Russian Coast: 
In the harbours of St. Petersburg there is fast ice. 
Farther westwards on the fairway 45-65 cm thick fast 
‘ce occurs to Kotlin, then very close, compressed 30- 
45 cm thick ice to MoSCEnyj, followed by very close 
15-30 cm thick ice. - The Vyborg Bay is covered with 
45-60 cm thick fast ice, followed by very close, 
compressed 30-45 cm thick ice up to the lighthouse 
Sommers, farther out there is very close 20-30 cm 
thick ice. - In Berkezund there is 40-55 cm thick fast 
ice, in the entrance there is very close, compressed 
30-45 cm thick ice. - In the Luga Bay there is 25-40 
cm thick fast ice up to the latitude of Cape Luto and 
close 25-40 cm thick ice farther out. In the Copora 
Bay 25-40 cm thick fast ice along the coast, farther 
aut there is a lead with very open ice. In the 
entrance there is very close 25-40 cm thick ice. 
Archipelago Sea 
There is 25-50 cm thick fast ice in the inner 
archipelago. In the outer skerries, 15-30 cm thick 
level ice and consolidated drift ice to Utö. Farther 
out new ice. 
Sea of Äland 
Narrow leads with open water occur at the Swedish 
coast and close to Aland, else there is mostly very 
close 20-35 cm thick ice. 
Älandsee 
Schmale Rinnen mit offenem Wasser verlaufen 
außerhalb der schwedischen Küste und dicht vor der 
Älandinsel, sonst kommt überwiegend sehr dichtes 
20-35 cm dickes Eis vor. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 25-50 cm 
dickes Festeis. Außerhalb der Festeiskante kommt 
ein schmales Gebiet mit sehr dichtem 10-25 cm 
dicken Eis, anschließend Neueis und 5-20 cm 
dickes ebenes Eis etwa bis zur Mittellinie der 
Bottensee. - Schwedische Küste: Außerhalb der 
«üste verläuft eine 5-15 sm breite Rinne S-wärts bis 
zur Gävlebucht. Sonst kommt meist sehr dichtes 10- 
40 cm dickes Eis mit zahlreichen Presseisrücken 
vor. Im S-Teil treten wechselweise Bereiche mit 
groben Eisschollen und offenem Wasser auf. Der 
Angermanälven ist mit bis zu 50 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: Von Vaasa bis Norra Gloppsten 
iegt 35-55 cm dickes Festeis. Außerhalb davon im 
N sehr dichtes, übereinandergeschobenes 15-40 cm 
dickes Eis, im S sehr dichtes, aufgepresstes 10-35 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelago 25-50 cm thick 
fast ice occurs. Off the fast ice edge there is a 
narrow zone of very close 10-25 cm thick ice. 
Farther out there is new ice and 5-20 cm thick level 
ice approximately to the central line of the Sea of 
Bothnia. - Swedish Coast: Off the coast a 5-15 nm 
wide lead runs southwards to Gävle Bight. 
Otherwise, there is mostly very close 10-40 cm 
thick ice with numerous ridges. In the southern part 
ihere are alternating areas with heavy floes and 
open water. The Angermanälven is covered with up 
to 50 cm thick fast ice. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnish Coast: Between Vaasa and MNorra 
Galoppsten there is 35-55 cm thick fast ice. Farther 
dut there is very close, rafted 15-40 cm thick ice in
