Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Narva Bucht Festeis an der 
Küste und dichtes Eis außerhalb davon. In der 
Kunda-, Muuga- und Tallinnbucht liegt sehr dichtes 
Eis. Auf See E-lich von Tallinn dichtes bis sehr 
dichtes 15-30 cm dickes Eis, W-lich davon dichtes 5- 
25 dickes Eis. - Finnische Küste: In den Schären 
‘liegt 20-50 cm dickes Festeis. Außerhalb davon 
kommt erst auf 3-10 sm dünnes ebenes Eis, dann 
sehr dichtes 15-40 cm dickes Eis mit schweren 
Aufpressungen im E-Teil vor. - Russische Küste: 
In den Häfen von St. Petersburg liegt Festeis. Weiter 
W-lich im Fahrwasser bis Kotlin 45-60 cm dickes 
Festeis, dann sehr dichtes 30-45 cm dickes Eis bis 
MoSCnyj, gefolgt von sehr dichtem 15-30 cm dicken 
Eis. - Die Vyborgbucht ist mit 40-55 cm dickem 
Festeis bedeckt, weiter bis zum Leuchtturm 
Sommers kommt sehr dichtes 30-45 cm dickes Eis 
vor, dann sehr dichtes 20-30 cm dickes Eis. - Im 
3Berkezund liegt 40-55 cm dickes Festeis, in der 
Einfahrt sehr dichtes 30-45 cm dickes Eis. - In der 
_ugabucht 25-40 cm dickes Festeis bis zur Breite 
von Kap Luto, dann dichtes 25-40 cm dickes Eis. In 
der Copora Bucht 25-40 cm dickes Festeis, in der 
Einfahrt dichtes bis sehr dichtes 25-40 cm dickes 
Eis. 
Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: In The Bight of Narva there is fast 
ice near the coast and close ice farther out. In 
Kunda, Muuga and Tallinn Bays there is very close 
ice. At sea east of Tallinn there is close to very 
close 15-30 cm thick ice, west of it close 5-25 cm 
'hick ice occurs. - Finnish Coast: In the 
archipelagos there is 20-50 cm thick fast ice. 
Farther out there is first for 3-10 nm thin level ice, 
then very close 15-40 cm thick ice, heavily ridged in 
the eastern part. - Russian Coast: In the harbours 
of St. Petersburg there is fast ice. Farther westwards 
an the fairway 45-60 cm thick fast ice occurs to Kotlin, 
then very close 30-45 cm thick ice to MoSGgnyj, 
followed by very close 15-30 cm thick ice. - The 
Vyborg Bay is covered with 40-55 cm thick fast ice, 
‘ollowed by very close 30-45 cm thick ice up to the 
ighthouse Sommers, farther out there is very close 
20-30 cm thick ice. - In Berkezund there is 40-55 cm 
lhick fast ice, in the entrance there is very close 30- 
45 cm thick ice. - In the Luga Bay there is 25-40 cm 
thick fast ice up to the latitude of Cape Luto and 
close 25-40 cm thick ice farther out. In the Copora 
Bay 25-40 cm thick fast ice, in the entrance there is 
close and very close 25-40 cm thick ice. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 25-50 cm dickes Fest- 
eis, in den äußeren Schären 15-30 cm dickes 
ebenes Eis und zusammengefrorenes Treibeis bis 
Utö. Weiter außerhalb Neueis. 
Älandsee 
Von Grundkallen bis Svenska Högarna verläuft eine 
5-10 sm breite Rinne, sonst überwiegend sehr 
dichtes 20-35 cm dickes Eis. 
Archipelago Sea 
There is 25-50 cm thick fast ice in the inner 
archipelago. In the outer skerries, 15-30 cm thick 
level ice and consolidated drift ice to Utö. Farther 
out new ice. 
Sea of Äland 
A 5-10 nm wide lead runs from Grundkallen to 
Svenska Högarna, else mostly very close 20-35 
cm thick ice. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelago 25-50 cm thick 
fast ice occurs. Off the fast ice edge there is a 
narrow zone of very close 10-25 cm thick ice. 
Farther out there is new ice and thin level ice 
approximately to the middle of the Sea of Bothnia 
and to the latitude of Uusikaupunki. - Swedish 
Coast: Off the coast a 5-15 nm wide lead runs 
southwards to Gävle Bight. Otherwise, there is 
mostly very close 10-40 cm thick ice with numerous 
ridges. In the southern part there are alternating 
areas with heavy floes and open water. The 
Angermanälven is covered with up to 50 cm thick 
fast ice. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnish Coast: Between Vaasa and Norra 
Gloppsten there is 30-55 cm thick fast ice. Farther 
aut there is very close, rafted 15-40 cm thick ice. 
Farther to the south there is very close, ridged 10- 
35 cm thick ice. - Swedish Coast: East of the line 
Nordvalen — Norrskär there is consolidated 30-50 
cm thick ice. East of Holmöarna and farther 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 25-50 cm 
dickes Festeis. Außerhalb der Festeiskante kommt 
sin schmales Gebiet mit sehr dichtem 10-25 cm 
dicken Eis, gefolgt von Neueis und dünnem ebenen 
Eis bis zur Mitte der Bottensee und bis zur Breite 
von Uusikaupunki. - Schwedische Küste: 
Außerhalb der Küste verläuft eine 5-15 sm breite 
Rinne S-wärts bis zur Gävlebucht. Sonst kommt 
neist sehr dichtes 10-40 cm dickes Eis mit 
zahlreichen Presseisrücken vor. Im S-Teil treten 
wechselweise Bereiche mit groben Eisschollen und 
offenem Wasser auf. Der Ängermanälven ist mit bis 
zu 50 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: Von Vaasa bis Norra Gloppsten 
iegt 30-55 cm dickes Festeis. Außerhalb davon sehr 
dichtes, übereinandergeschobenes 15-40 cm dickes 
Eis, weiter S-lich sehr dichtes, aufgepresstes 10-35 
cm dickes Eis. - Schwedische Küste: E-lich der 
_inie Nordvalen — MNorrskär liegt zusammen- 
nängendes 30-50 cm dickes Eis. E-lich von
