Estnische Küste: Der Moonsund ist mit 20-40 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt. In der Pärnubucht liegt bis 
zur Breite 58NN 45-55 cm dickes Festeis. In der 
Irbenstraße kommt kompaktes und aufgepresstes 
20-35 cm dickes Eis vor. - Lettische Küste: Im 
dafen von Riga lockeres Treibeis, im Fahrwasser 
Riga — Irbenstraße sehr dichtes 15-35 cm dickes 
zis, bei Kolka mit Pressungen, in der Irbenstraße 
dichtes Eis. Weiter im Fahrwasser bis Ventspils 
ockeres dünnes Treibeis. 
Estonian Coast: In Moonsund there is 20-40 cm 
thick fast ice, in the Pärnu Bay there is 45-55 cm 
thick fast ice up to the latitude 58° N. In the Irben 
Strait there is compact and ridged 20-35 cm thick 
ice. - Latvian Coast: In the port of Riga open drift 
ice, on the fairway Riga —- Irben Strait there is very 
close 15-35 cm thick ice, near Kolka with ice 
pressure, in Irben Strait close ice. Farther out on 
the fairway to Ventspils there is open thin drift ice. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Küstennähe kommt in den 
3uchten 5-20 cm dickes Festeis, weiter außerhalb 
sehr lockeres dünnes Treibeis vor. - Finnische 
Küste: In den Schären liegt 20-50 cm dickes 
Festeis, außerhalb davon verläuft von Orrengrund 
W-wärts eine 5-15 sm breite, mit Neueis bedeckte 
Rinne, dann kommt zusammengeschobenes, stark 
aufgepresstes 15-40 cm dickes Eis vor. - Russische 
Küste: In den Häfen von St. Petersburg liegt 
Festeis. Weiter westwärts im Fahrwasser bis Kotlin 
40-55 cm dickes Festeis, dann sehr dichtes 25-40 
cm dickes Eis bis Kap Kolgompja, gefolgt von sehr 
dichtem bis dichtem 15-30 cm dicken Eis und sehr 
ockeren Eis in der Nähe von Gogland. - Die innere 
Vyborgbucht ist mit 35-50 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt, weiter bis zum Leuchtturm Sommers 
kommt sehr dichtes 25-40 cm dickes Eis vor, dann 
dichtes bis sehr dichtes 20-30 cm dickes Eis. - Im 
Berkezund ist 35-50 cm dickes Festeis, in der 
Einfahrt sehr dichtes 25-40 cm dickes Eis. - In der 
Copora- und Lugabucht liegt 25-35 cm dickes 
Festeis, in den Einfahrten sehr dichtes 25-40 cm 
dickes Eis. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 20-45 cm dickes Fest- 
eis, in den äußeren Schären 20-30 cm dickes 
ebenes Eis und zusammengefrorenes Treibeis bis 
ıach Utö. Weiter S-wärts zuerst Neueis, dann sehr 
dichtes 5-20 cm dickes Eis bis zur Breite von 
Almagrundet. 
Älandsee 
Mit sehr dichtem, teilweise übereinandergeschobe- 
ı1em 5-20 cm dicken Eis bedeckt. Dicht an der Küste 
verläuft eine 1-5 sm breite. mit Neueis bedeckte 
Rinne. 
Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: In the Bays there is near the 
coast 5-20 cm thick fast ice, farther out very open 
‘hin drift ice. - Finnish Coast: In the archipelagos 
there is 20-50 cm thick fast ice. Off the fast ice, first 
a 5-15 nm wide lead, covered with new ice, runs 
‘rom Orrengrund westwards, then compact, heavily 
ridged 15-40 cm thick ice occurs. - Russian Coast: 
n the harbours of St. Petersburg there is fast ice. 
-arther westwards on the fairway 40-55 cm thick fast 
ice occurs to Kotlin, then very close 25-40 cm thick 
ice to Cape Kolgompja, followed by very close and 
close 15-30 cm thick ice and very open ice near 
Gogland. - The inner Vyborg Bay is covered with 35- 
50 cm thick fast ice, followed by very close 25-40 cm 
*hick ice up to the lighthouse Sommers, farther out 
there is close to very close 20-30 cm thick ice. - In 
Berkezund there is 35-50 cm thick fast ice, in the 
antrance there is very close 25-40 cm thick ice. - In 
‘he Luga and Copora Bays there is 25-35 cm thick 
‚ast ice, in the entrances consolidated 25-40 cm 
thick ice. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the inner archipelagos there is 20-45 cm thick 
fast ice, in the outer skerries there is 20-30 cm 
*hick level ice and consolidated drift ice to Utö. 
Farther southwards there is first new ice, then very 
close 5-20 cm thick ice to the latitude of 
Almagrundet. 
Sea of Äland 
Covered by very close, partly rafted 5-15 cm thick 
ice. Close to the coast there is a 1-5 nm wide lead, 
covered with new ice. 
Bottensee 
Vollständig eisbedeckt. 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 25-50 cm 
dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon kommt auf etwa 3- 
10 sm dünnes ebenes Eis, dann dichtes 5-20 cm 
dickes Eis vor. - Schwedische Küste: In den 
Schären liegt 20-40 cm dickes Festeis. Entlang der 
Küste verläuft von Bonden S-wärts eine 1-5 sm 
breite, mit Neueis oder dünnem ebenen Eis 
bedeckte Rinne. Auf See meist sehr dichtes 15-35 
cm dickes Eis mit einigen Presseisrücken und 10-30 
Sea of Bothnia 
Totally ice covered.

thick ice. - Swedish Coast: In the archipelagos
