Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Entlang der gesamten Küste liegt dichtes 10-20 cm 
dickes Eis, sonst mit sehr dichtem 15-30 cm dicken 
Eis bedeckt. 
Estnische Küste: Der Moonsund ist mit 20-40 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt. In der Pärnubucht liegt bis 
zur Breite 58N 45-55 cm dickes Festeis. In der 
Irbenstraße kommt kompaktes und aufgepresstes 
20-40 cm dickes Eis vor. - Lettische Küste: Im 
Hafen von Riga dichter Eisbrei, im Fahrwasser Riga 
— Irbenstraße sehr dichtes 15-30 cm dickes Eis, bei 
xolka mit Pressungen, in der Irbenstraße dichtes 
Eis. Weiter im Fahrwasser bis Ventspils sehr 
ockeres dünnes Eis. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Auf See im Norden und Osten sehr dichtes Eis, es 
kommt zu Eispressungen; im Süden lockeres 
dünnes Eis. 
Estnische Küste: In der Küstennähe kommt in der 
Narva und Muuga Bucht ein Festeissaum vor, sonst 
sehr lockeres 5-15 cm dickes Eis. In der Kundabucht 
sehr lockeres 10-15 cm dickes Eis. In Tallinnbucht 
an der Küste 5-15 cm dickes Festeis, weiter 
außerhalb kommt überwiegend offenes Wasser vor. 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 20-50 cm 
dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon zusammengescho- 
benes, stark aufgepresstes 15-40 cm dickes Eis mit 
einigen Stellen mit Neueis dazwischen vor. Es 
kommt zu Pressungen. - Russische Küste: In den 
-täfen von St. Petersburg liegt Festeis. Weiter 
westwärts im Fahrwasser bis Kotlin 40-55 cm dickes 
Festeis, dann zusammenhängendes 25-40 cm 
dickes Eis bis Seskar, gefolgt von sehr dichtem bis 
dichtem 15-30 cm dicken. - Die innere Vyborgbucht 
st mit 35-50 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt, weiter bis 
zum Leuchtturm Sommers kommt zusammenhän- 
gendes 25-40 cm dickes Eis, dann dichtes bis sehr 
dichtes 15-30 cm dickes Eis vor. - Im Berkezund 35- 
50 cm dickes Festeis, in der Einfahrt zusammen- 
1ängendes 25-40 cm dickes Eis. - In der Copora- 
Jnd Luga Bucht liegt 25-35 cm dickes Festeis, in 
den Einfahrten zusammenhängendes 25-40 cm 
dickes Eis. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 20-45 cm dickes Fest- 
eis, in den äußeren Schären 20-30 cm dickes 
ebenes Eis und zusammengefrorenes Treibeis bis 
1ach Ut6. Weiter S-lich zuerst Neueis, dann sehr 
dichtes 5-20 cm dickes Eis. 
Älandsee 
Mit dichtem bis sehr dichtem, teilweise überein- 
andergeschobenem 5-15 cm dicken Eis bedeckt. 
Gulf of Riga 
Along the whole coast close 10-20 cm thick ice 
Occurs, else covered with very close 15-30 cm thick 
ice. 
Estonian Coast: In Moonsund there is 20-40 cm 
'hick fast ice, in the Pärnu Bay there is 45-55 cm 
*hick fast ice up to the latitude 58° N. In the Irben 
Strait there is compact and ridged 20-40 cm thick 
ice. - Latvian Coast: In the port of Riga close 
slush, on the fairway Riga - Irben Strait there is 15- 
30 cm thick ice, near Kolka with ice pressure, in 
rben Strait close ice. Farther out on the fairway to 
Ventspils there is very open thin drift ice. 
Gulf of Finland 
At sea there is very close ice in the north and the 
east, ice pressure occurs in the ice field; in the 
south open thin ice. 
Estonian Coast: In the Narva and Muuga Bays 
‘here is near the coast a belt of fast ice, then very 
apen 5-15 cm thick ice. In the Kunda Bay there is 
very open 10-15 cm thick ice. In the Tallinn Bay 
‘here is 5-15 cm thick fast ice near the shore and 
‘arther out mostly open water. - Finnish Coast: In 
‘he archipelagos there is 20-50 cm thick fast ice. 
Off the fast ice there is compact, heavily ridged 15- 
40 cm thick ice with some areas of new ice in- 
between. There is pressure in the ice. - Russian 
Coast: In the harbours of St. Petersburg there is fast 
ice. Farther westwards on the fairway 40-55 cm thick 
Fast ice occurs to Kotlin, then consolidated 25-40 cm 
:hick ice to Seskar, followed by very close and close 
‘5-30 cm thick ice. - The inner Vyborg Bay is 
covered with 35-50 cm thick fast ice, followed by 
consolidated 25-40 cm thick ice up to the lighthouse 
Sommers, farther out there is close to very close 15- 
30 cm thick ice. - In Berkezund there is 35-50 cm 
*hick fast ice, in the entrance there is consolidated 
25-40 cm thick ice. - In the Luga and Copora Bays 
there is 25-35 cm thick fast ice, in the entrances 
consolidated 25-40 cm thick ice. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the inner archipelagos there is 20-45 cm thick 
jast ice, in the outer skerries there is 20-30 cm 
thick level ice and consolidated drift ice to Utö. 
Farther south there is first new ice, then very close 
5-20 cm thick ice. 
Sea of Äland 
Covered by close to very close, partly rafted 5-15 
cm thick ice.
