Göteborg 20-45 cm dickes Festeis. Außerhalb der 
Küsten im Kattegat und im Oresund liegt Neueis.

Coast: In the archipelagos and sheltered bays 
there is north of Göteborg 20-45 cm fast ice. In

Westliche und Südliche Ostsee 
Dänische Küste: In kleineren Häfen und geschützt 
liegenden und flachen Küstengewässern liegt bis zu 
30 cm dickes Festeis. - Deutsche Küste: In der 
Mecklenburger Bucht treiben auf See Streifen mit 
lockerem Eis. Die innere Flensburger Fjorde ist mit 
5-15 cm dickem Eis bedeckt, die Schlei mit 10-15 
cm dickem Eis und bei Eckernförde kommt sehr 
lockeres 5-15 cm dickes Eis vor. Im Fehmarnbelt 
und im Fehmarnsund offenes Wasser. In der 
Lübecker Bucht größtenteils offenes Wasser, in 
Neustadt Hafen dichtes 10-30 cm dickes Eis. Bei 
‘Nismar lockeres bis dichtes 10-15 cm dickes Eis. In 
Rostock liegt auf der Unterwarnow Örtlich sehr 
dichtes 15-30 cm dickes Eis, sonst offenes Wasser. 
20-35 cm dickes Festeis in den inneren Bodden- 
gewässern und im Haff, sowie an den Küsten des 
Greifswalder Boddens. Im inneren Greifswalder 
Bodden überwiegend kompaktes 30-50 cm dickes 
Eis, in den Außenbereichen etwas aufgelockerter. 
iım W-Teil der Pommerschen Bucht treibt lockeres 
bis dichtes 10-20 cm dickes Eis, stellenweise kommt 
auch dickeres Eis vor. - Litauische Küste: Meist 
sisfrei. Das Kurische Haff ist mit 50-63 cm dickem 
Festeis bedeckt. - Polnische Küste: Im Stettiner 
-aff liegt 20-30 cm dickes Festeis, im Fahrwasser 
Szeczecin — Swinouj$cie kommt lockeres 25-30 cm 
dickes Trümmereis vor. Im Hafen Szczecin lockeres 
Jnd im Hafen Swinoujscie sehr lockeres 15-30 cm 
dickes Eis. Im Hafen von Gdynia treibt sehr lockeres 
dünnes Eis. - Schwedische Küste: Bei Karlskrona 
liegt sehr dichtes 10-25 cm dickes Eis und Neueis 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Estnische Küste: Vor der Küste von Saaremaa und 
Hiiumaa kommt überwiegend lockeres 5-20 cm 
dickes Eis vor. - Lettische Küste: Im Hafen von 
Ventspils lockeres 5-10 cm dickes Eis, im Hafen von 
_iepaja sehr lockeres dünnes Eis. In den 
Fahrwassern kommt offenes Wasser vor. - 
Schwedische Küste: In den inneren Schären von 
Stockholm liegt 25-40 cm, im E-lichen Teil 15-30 cm 
dickes Festeis. Entlang der Küste erstreckt sich 
zwischen Nyköping und Oskarshamn ein schmales 
Gebiet mit kompaktem dünnen Eis. Von 15 sm S- 
lich Bogskär bis Västervik kommt Neueis vor. Im 
Kalmarsund sehr dichtes bis zu 40 cm dickes Eis im 
N-Teil und Trümmereisbarriere außerhalb Oskars- 
ı1amn. Mälarsee: Mit bis zu 40 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt. Vänernsee: Im Värmlandssjön liegt an der 
Küste 30-50 cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon 
dünnes ebenes Eis. In  Vänersborgsviken, 
Kinneviken und in den Schären von Lurö6 bis zu 50 
Western and Southern Baltic 
Danish Coast: In small harbours and sheltered 
and shallow coastal waters there is up to 30 cm 
'hick fast ice. - German Coast: At sea in the Bight 
of Mecklenburg some strips of open ice are drifting. 
The inner fjord of Flensburg is covered with 5-15 
cm thick ice, the Schlei with 10-15 cm thick ice and 
at Eckernförde there is very open 5-15 cm thick ice. 
'n the Fehmarnbelt and in the Fehmarnsund there 
's open water. In the Bay of Lübeck there is mostly 
open water, in Neustadt port close 10-30 cm thick 
ice. At Wismar there is open to close ice, 10-15 cm 
thick. At Rostock there is partly very close 15-30 
cm thick ice on the Unterwarnow, else open water. 
20-35 cm thick fast ice occurs in the Bodden 
waters and in the Haff as well as along the coast of 
the Greifswalder Bodden. In the inner Greifswalder 
Bodden there is mostly compact 30-50 cm thick 
ice, which is getting more open in the outer part. In 
Ihe western part of the Pomeranian Bight open to 
close 10-20 cm thick ice, with some areas of 
t'hicker ice in-between. - Lithuanian Coast: Mostly 
ice free. The Courland Lagoon is covered with 50- 
53 cm thick fast ice. - Polish Coast: In Szczecin 
Lagoon there is 20-30 cm thick fast ice; on the 
‘airway Szezecin — Swinoujscie there is open 25-30 
cm thick brash ice. In the port of Szczecin open 
and in the port of Swinoujscie very open 15-30 cm 
thick ice. In the port of Gdynia there is very open 
thin ice. - Swedish Coast: At Karlskrona there is 
very close 10-25 cm thick ice and new ice. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
Estonian Coast: Off the coast of Saaremaa and 
Hiiumaa mostly open 5-20 cm thick ice occurs. - 
Latvian Coast: In the port of Ventspils there is 5- 
10 cm thick open ice, in the port of Liepaja very 
open thin ice. On the fairways there is open water. 
Swedish coast: In the inner archipelago of 
Stockholm there is 25-40 cm, in the eastern parts 
15-30 cm thick fast ice. Close to the coast there is 
a narrow area of compact thin ice between 
Nyköping and Oskarshamn. There is new ice from 
I5 nm south of Bogskär until Västervik. In the 
Kalmar Strait there is very close, up to 40 cm thick 
ice in the northern part and a brash ice barrier off 
Oskarshamn. Lake Mälaren: Covered with up to 
40 cm thick fast ice. Lake Vänern: In the 
Värmlandssjön at the coast there is 30-50 cm thick 
fast ice, farther out thin level ice. In Vänersborgs- 
viken, Kinneviken and in the archipelago of Lurö
