Wasser, dann sehr dichtes 5-10 cm dickes Eis. Bei 
Mersrags liegt auf 4-7 km z. T. zerbrochenes 
Festeis. In der Irbenstraße im XN-Teil des 
-ahrwassers kompaktes 10-30 cm dickes Eis, sonst 
offenes wasser. Weiter im Fahrwasser bis zur 
Seegrenze zu Litauen treibt lockeres 5-10 cm dickes 
Eis. 
very close 5-10 thick ice. At Mersrags there is for 4- 
7 km fast ice, partly broken. On the fairway in the 
Irben Strait there is compact 10-30 cm thick ice in 
the northern part, else open water. Farther out on 
the fairway to the Lithuanian sea border there is 
open 5-10 cm thick drift ice. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Auf See im Norden und Osten sehr dichtes Eis, im 
Süden offenes Wasser. 
Estnische Küste: In Küstennähe kommt in der 
\arva Bucht lockeres 5-15 cm dickes Eis vor, in der 
Kundabucht Neueis und in der Muugabucht sehr 
ockeres 5-15 cm dickes Eis. In der Tallinnbucht 
größtenteils offenes Wasser. - Finnische Küste: In 
den Schären liegt Festeis, im Westen 20-30 cm, im 
Osten 20-40 cm dick. Anschließend kommt bis zur 
-inie Utö — Hanko-Leuchtturm — 8 sm S-lich von 
Jussarö — 10 sm S-lich Helsinki-Leuchtturm — 
RodSer sehr dichtes aufgepresstes Eis, im Westen 
10-30 cm, im Osten 20-35 cm dick. Weiter S-lich 
treibt örtlich dünnes Eis. - Russische Küste: In den 
däfen von St. Petersburg liegt Festeis. Weiter 
westwärts im Fahrwasser bis zur Ostspitze von 
<otlin 25-45 cm dickes Festeis, es folgt eine mit sehr 
ockerem Eis bedeckte Polynya bis zur Länge des 
_euchtturms Sepelevskij. Weiter bis Seskar sehr 
dichtes 20-35 cm dickes Eis. Anschließend liegt sehr 
dichtes 15-30 cm dickes Eis bis Rod$Ser. - Die innere 
Vyborgbucht ist mit 30-45 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt, außerhalb davon liegt sehr dichtes 15-30 
cm dickes Eis. - Im Berkezund 25-40 cm dickes 
Festeis, in der Einfahrt sehr dichtes 20-35 cm dickes 
Eis. - An den Küsten der Copora- und Luga Bucht 
ijegt 15-25 cm dickes Festeis, in den Einfahrten sehr 
dichtes bis dichtes 15-30cm dickes Eis mit 
stellenweise offenen Bereichen. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 15-30 cm dickes Fest- 
eis, in den äußeren Schären dünnes ebenes Eis und 
Neueis. Weiter außerhalb liegt dichtes dünnes Eis 
bis Utö. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 15-40 cm 
dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon von 
Strömmingsbädan bis Mäntyluoto ein etwa 15-25 sm 
breiter Gürtel mit dichtem dünnen Eis und Neueis. 
5-lich davon lockeres dünnes Eis. - Schwedische 
Küste: In den Schären liegt 10-30 cm dickes 
Festeis. Auf See im NW-Teil kommt bis zur Linie 
Ästholmsudde —- 17 sm E-lich von Högbonden — 17 
sm E-lich von Skagsudde sehr dichtes 10-20 cm 
dickes Eis mit festgestampftem Trümmereis an 
seinem Rand. In der Gävle Bucht dichtes 5-20 cm 
dickes Eis. Der Ängermanälv ist mit bis zu 50 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt. 
Gulf of Finland 
At sea there is very close ice in the north and the 
east, in the southern part open water. 
Estonian Coast: Near the coast there is open 5- 
15 cm thick ice in the Narva Bay, new ice in the 
Kunda Bay and very open 5-15 cm thick ice in the 
Muuga Bay. In Tallinn Bight there is mostly open 
water. - Finnish Coast: In the archipelagos there 
is fast ice, 20-30 cm thick in the west and 20-40 cm 
ihick in the east. Off the fast ice there is up to the 
line Utö — Hanko lighthouse - 8 nm south of 
Jussarö - 10 nm south of Helsinki lighthouse — 
AodSer very close ridged 10-30 cm thick in the 
west and 20-35 cm thick in the east. Farther south 
thin ice is drifting in places. - Russian Coast: In 
the harbours of St. Petersburg there is fast ice. 
Farther westwards on the fairway 20-45 cm thick fast 
ice occurs to the eastern point of Kotlin, then a 
polynya, filled with very open ice, occurs up to the 
longitude of the lighthouse Sepelevskij. Farther out 
©o Seskar very close 20-35 cm thick ice, then very 
close 15-30 cm thick ice to RodSer. - The inner 
Vyborg Bay is covered with 30-45 cm thick fast ice, 
farther out there is very close 15-30 cm thick ice. - In 
Berkezund there is 25-40 cm thick fast ice, in the 
entrance there is very close 20-35 cm thick ice. - 
Along the coasts of the Luga and Copora Bay there 
is 15-25 cm thick fast ice, in the entrance close to 
very close 15-30 cm thick ice with open areas, in 
places. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the inner archipelagos there is 15-30 cm thick 
fast ice. In the outer skerries there is thin level ice 
and new ice. Farther out there is elose thin to Utö. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelagos there is 15-40 
cm thick fast ice, farther out there is from 
Strömmingsbädan to Mäntyluoto an about 15-25 
nm wide belt of close thin ice and new ice. Farther 
south there is open thin ice. - Swedish Coast: In 
the archipelagos there is 10-30 cm thick fast ice. At 
sea in the northwestern part there is up to the line 
Ästholmsudde — 17 nm east of Högbonden — 217 
nm east of Skagsudde very close 10-20 cm thick 
ice with brash ice barrier at its edge. In the Gävle 
Bight there is close ice. The Angermanälv is 
covered with up to 50 cm thick fast ice.
