Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Mit sehr dichtem 5-20 cm dicken Eis bedeckt, in der 
Irbenstraße kompaktes 10-30 cm dickes Eis. 
Estnische Küste: Der Moonsund ist mit 20-35 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt. In der Pärnubucht liegt bis 
zur Breite von Kihnu 35-50 cm dickes Festeis. - 
Lettische Küste: Im Hafen von Riga und weiter im 
Fahrwasser auf 15 sm offenes Wasser, dann bis 
Mersrags liegt 15-30 cm dickes Eis. Im Fahrwasser 
Mersrags — Irbenstraße und in der Irbenstraße 
kompaktes 10-30 cm dickes Eis. Bei Kolka und in 
der Irbenstraße das Eis ist zusammengeschoben 
Und aufgepresst. Weiter im Fahrwasser nach 
Ventspils treibt sehr lockeres 5-10 cm dickes Eis. 
Gulf of Riga 
Covered with very close 5-20 cm thick ice, in the 
ırben strait compact 10-30 cm thick ice. 
Estonian Coast: In Moonsund there is 20-35 cm 
‘hick fast ice, in the Pärnu Bay there is 35-50 cm 
‘hick fast ice up to the latitude of Kihnu. - Latvian 
Coast: In the port of Riga and farther out in the 
’airway for 15 nm there is open water, then to 
Mersrags 15-30 cm thick ice. On the fairway 
Mersrags - Irben Strait and in the Irben Strait there 
is compact 10-30 cm thick. Near Kolka and in the 
Ir!ben Strait ice is compacting and hummocking. 
Farther out on the fairway to Ventspils there is very 
open 5-10 cm thick drift ice. 
Gulf of Finland 
At sea there is mostly very close ice in the north 
and the east, in the southern part there open water. 
Estonian Coast: Near the coast there is open 10- 
20 cm thick ice in the Narva Bay, very open ice in 
'he Kunda Bay and very open 5-15 cm thick ice in 
')he Muuga Bay. In Tallinn Bight there is mostly 
open water. - Finnish Coast: In the archipelagos 
‘here is fast ice, 20-30 cm thick in the west and 20- 
40 cm thick in the east. Off the fast ice there is up 
io the line Hanko — Naissaar — RodSer very close 
ridged 10-30 cm thick in the west and 20-35 cm 
‘hick in the east; in the ice field there is pressure in 
places. - Russian Coast: In the harbours of St. 
Detersburg there is fast ice. Farther westwards on 
‘he fairway 20-45 cm thick fast ice occurs to Kotlin, 
ihen a polynya, covered with new ice occurs up to 
:he longitude of the lighthouse Shepelevskij. Then 
very close 20-35 cm thick ice up to Seskar with some 
areas of open water. Farther out very close 15-30 cm 
thick ice to Gogland. - The inner Vyborg Bay is 
covered with 30-45 cm thick fast ice, farther out there 
is very close 15-30 cm thick ice. - In Berkezund 
there is 25-40 cm thick fast ice, in the entrance 
‘here is very close 20-35 cm thick ice. - Along the 
coasts of the Luga and Copora Bay there is 15-25 
cm thick fast ice, in the entrance the ice is 15-25 
cm thick, very close in the Corpora and 
consolidated in the Luga Bay. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Aus See im Norden und Osten sehr dichtes Eis, im 
Süden offenes Wasser. 
Estnische Küste: In Küstennähe kommt in der 
\arva Bucht lockeres 10-20 cm dickes Eis vor, in 
der Kundabucht sehr lockeres Eis und in der Muuga- 
bucht sehr lockeres 5-15 cm dickes Eis. In der 
Tallinnbucht größtenteils offenes Wasser. - 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt Festeis, im 
Westen 20-30 cm, im Osten 20-40 cm dick. 
Anschließend kommt bis zur Linie Hanko — 
\aissaar — RodSer sehr dichtes aufgepresstes Eis, 
m Westen 10-30 cm, im Osten 20-35 cm dick. Im 
Eisfeld kommt es stellenweise zu Eispressungen. - 
Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St. Petersburg 
iegt Festeis. Weiter westwärts im Fahrwasser bis 
Kotlin 25-45 cm dickes Festeis, es folgt eine mit 
Veueis bedeckte Polynya bis zur Länge des 
_euchtturms Shepelevskij. Weiter bis Seskar sehr 
dichtes 20-35 cm dickes Eis, in dem Stellen mit 
offenem Wasser vorkommen. Anschließend liegt 
sehr dichtes 15-30 cm dickes Eis bis Gogland. - Die 
nnere Vyborgbucht ist mit 30-45 cm dickem Festeis 
dedeckt, außerhalb davon liegt sehr dichtes 15-30 
cm dickes Eis. - Im Berkezund 25-40 cm dickes 
Festeis und in der Einfahrt sehr dichtes 20-35 cm 
dickes Eis. - An den Küsten der Copora- und Luga 
Bucht liegt 15-25 cm dickes Festeis, in den 
Einfahrten 15-25 cm dickes Eis, in Corpora sehr 
dicht, in Luga zusammenhängend. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 15-30 cm dickes Fest- 
eis, in den äußeren Schären dünnes ebenes Eis und 
\eueis. Weiter außerhalb liegt Neueis und dichtes 
dünnes Eis bis S-lich des Leuchtturms Suomen 
Leijona. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 15-40 cm 
dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon ein etwa 15-25 sm 
breiter Gürtel mit dichtem dünnen Eis und Neueis. - 
Schwedische Küste: In den Schären liegt 10-30 cm 
dickes Festeis. Auf See treibt im NW-Teil zwischen 
Jivöarna und Astholmsudde dichtes 10-30 cm 
dickes Eis mit einigen Presseisrücken. N-lich von 
Archipelago Sea 
'n the inner archipelagos there is 15-30 cm thick 
‘ast ice. In the outer skerries there is thin level ice 
and new ice. Farther out close thin ice and new ice 
to the south of Suomen Leijona lighthouse. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelagos there is 15-40

nm wide belt of close thin ice and new ice. - 
Swedish Coast: In the archipelagos there is 10-30 
zm thick fast ice. At sea in the northwestern part 
between Ulvöarna and Ästholmsudde there is close
