Vegrund Streifen dichten Eises.. - Lettische Küste: 
Im Hafen Ventspils kommt sehr lockeres, 5-10cm 
dickes Eis vor. Im Hafen von Liepaja sehr dichtes 
Eis, weiter südlich treibt im Fahrwasser sehr dichtes 
Eis. 
cm thick ice. In the Dalbosjön belts of close ice are 
drifting north of Megrund. . - Latvian Coast: In the 
port of Ventspils there is very open , 5-10cm thick 
ice. In the port of Liepaja very close ice, farther out 
in the fairway to the south there is very close ice. 
Gulf of Riga 
Along the eastern coast there is a 6-10 nm wide 
polynya with new ice, along the southwestern coast 
open ice, else covered with very close 5-15 cm 
thick ice, in the Irben strait also 10-30cm thick 
compact as well as open ice. 
Estonian Coast: In Moonsund there is 20-30 cm 
thick fast ice, in the Pärnu Bay there is 35-50 cm 
thick fast ice up to the latitude of Kihnu. - Latvian 
Coast: In the port of Riga there is open ice, in the 
‘airway from Riga to Irben Strait first open water to 
Mersrags and then 10-30cm thick open ice. Farther 
out on the fairway to Ventspils there is 5-10cm 
thick very open pack ice. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Entlang der Ostküste verläuft eine 6-10 sm breite 
Polynya mit Neueis, an der Südwestküste lockeres 
Eis, sonst mit sehr dichtem 5-15 cm dicken Eis 
bedeckt, in der Irbenstraße auch 10-30cm dickes 
<ompaktes als auch lockeres Eis. 
Estnische Küste: Der Moonsund ist mit 20-30 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt. In der Pärnubucht liegt bis 
zur Breite von Kihnu 35-50 cm dickes Festeis. - 
Lettische Küste: Im Hafen von Riga lockeres Eis, 
Im Fahrwasser nach Mersrags offenes Wasser 
weiter zur Irbenstraße 10-30cm dickes lockeres Eis. 
Weiter im Fahrwasser nach Ventspils treibt 5-10cm 
dickes sehr lockeres Eis. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Aus See im Norden und Osten sehr dichtes Eis, im 
Süden dünneres sehr lockeres Eis und offenes 
Wasser. 
Estnische Küste: In den Narva Bucht liegt Festeis, 
außerhalb davon lockeres 10-30cm dickes Eis. An 
den Küsten der Kundabucht lockeres Eis. In der 
VMuugabucht liegt dicht an der Küste Festeis. In 
Tallinnbucht größtenteils offenes Wasser. - 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt Festeis, im 
Nesten 10-25 cm, im Osten 15-30 cm dick. 
Anschließend kommt sehr dichtes aufeinanderge- 
presstes Eis, im Westen 10-25cm dick und auf 5- 
15sm Breite, im Osten 20-35cm dick und bis zur 
_inie Helsinki-Leuchtturm — Gogland. Im Eisfeld 
<ommt es stellenweise zu Eispressungen. Weiter S- 
‘ich kommt im Westen offenes Wasser, im Osten 10- 
20cm dickes, kompaktes Eis bis etwa 5sm südlich 
von Kalbädagrund vor. - Russische Küste: In den 
däfen von St. Petersburg liegt Festeis. Weiter 
westwärts im Fahrwasser bis Kotlin 25-45 cm dickes 
Festeis, es folgt eine mit Neueis bedeckte Polynia 
bis zur Länge des Leuchtturms Krasnaja Gorka. 
Neiter bis Seskar sehr dichtes 20-35 cm dickes Eis 
Anschließend liegt 15-30cm dickes, sehr dichtes Eis 
bis Gogland. - Die innere Vyborgbucht ist mit 30-45 
cm dickem Festeis bedeckt, außerhalb davon liegt 
sehr dichtes 15-30 cm dickes Eis. - Im Berkezund 
25-40 cm dickes Festeis und in der Einfahrt sehr 
dichtes 20-35 cm dickes Eis. - An den Küsten der 
Copora- und Luga Bucht liegt 15-25 cm dickes 
Festeis, in den Einfahrten 15-25 cm dickes Eis, in 
Corpora sehr dicht, in Luga zusammenhängend. 
Gulf of Finland 
At sea there is mostly very close ice in the north 
and the east, in the southern part there is thinner 
very open ice and open water. 
Estonian Coast: In the Narva bay there is fast ice 
and outside the fast ice there open 10-30cm thick 
ice. At the coasts of the Kunda bay there is open 
ice. In the Muuga Bay there is fast ice near the 
shore and in Tallinn Bight there is mostly open 
water. - Finnish Coast: In the archipelagos there 
is fast ice, 10-25 cm thick in the west and 15-30 cm 
thick in the east. Off the fast ice there is 10-25cm 
thick, very close rafted ice for about 5-15nm in the 
west and 20-35 cm thick very close and heavily 
sidged ice up to the line Helsinki lighthouse — 
Gogland in the east; in the ice field there is 
Ddressure in places. Farther southwards there is 
open water in the west and 10-20cm thick compact 
ice in the east, extending up to 5nm south of 
Kalbädagrund. - Russian Coast: In the harbours of 
St. Petersburg there is fast ice. Farther westwards on 
the fairway 20-45 cm thick fast ice occurs to Kotlin, 
then a Polynia, covered with new ice occurs up to the 
longitude of the lighthouse Krasnaya Gorka. Then 
very close 20-35 cm thick ice up to Seskar. Farther 
out 15-30cm thick very close ice to Gogland. - The 
inner Vyborg Bay is covered with 30-45 cm thick fast 
ice, farther out there is very close 15-30 cm thick ice. 
- In Berkezund there is 25-40 cm thick fast ice, in 
the entrance there is very close 20-35 cm thick ice. 
: Along the coasts of the Luga and Copora Bay 
there is 15-25 cm thick fast ice, in the entrances 
there is 15-25 cm thick ice, very close in Corpora 
and consolidated ice in Luga bay. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the inner archipelagos there is 15-30 cm thick 
fast ice. In the outer skerries there is thin level ice 
and new ice. Farther out thin close ice and new ice 
approximately to Suomen Leijona lighthouse. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 15-30 cm dickes Fest- 
eis, In den äußeren Schären dünnes ebenes Eis und 
Neueis. Weiter außerhalb liegt Neueis und dünnes 
dichtes Eis bis etwa Leuchtturm Suomen Leijona.
