Estnische Küste: Der Moonsund ist mit 20-30 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt. In der Pärnubucht liegt bis 
zur Breite von Kihnu 35-50 cm dickes Festeis. - 
Lettische Küste: Im Hafen von Riga lockeres 
\eueis, in der Irbenstraße sehr dichtes 10-15 cm 
dickes Eis, welches aufgepresst und zusammenge- 
schoben wird . Weiter im Fahrwasser nach Ventspils 
treibt sehr lockeres Eis. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In den Buchten 10-15 cm dickes 
Festeis, außerhalb davon liegt in der Narvabucht 
\leueis und in der Kunda-, Muuga- und Tallinnbucht 
ockeres Eis. - Finnische Küste: In den Schären 
jegt Festeis, im Westen 10-25 cm, im Osten 15-30 
cm dick. Anschließend bis zur Linie Hanko — 
delsinki-Leuchttum — Gogland — Vigrund sehr 
dichtes 10-25 dickes Eis; im Eisfeld kommt es zu 
schweren Eispressungen. Weiter S-lich liegt Neueis 
Jnd dünnes ebenes Eis, welches im Osten teilweise 
iJbereinandergeschoben ist. - Russische Küste: In 
den Häfen von St. Petersburg liegt Festeis. Weiter 
westwärts im Fahrwasser bis Kotlin 20-35 cm dickes 
Festeis, weiter bis Tolbuchin 15-30 cm dickes 
Festeis, dann bis Seskar zusammenhängendes 20- 
30 cm dickes Eis, in dem eine mit Neueis bedeckte 
Polynia vorkommt. Anschließend liegt sehr dichtes 
Eis, bis Gogland 15-25cm dick, weiter bis Bengtsher 
5-20cm dick. Weiter westwärts liegt 5-10cm dickes 
Eis und Neueis. - Die innere Vyborgbucht ist mit 30- 
45 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt, außerhalb davon 
jegt zusammenhängendes 15-25 cm dickes Eis. - 
Im Berkezund 20-30 cm dickes Festeis und in der 
Einfahrt zusammenhängendes 15-30 cm dickes 
Treibeis. - An den Küsten der Copora- und Luga 
Zucht liegt 15-25 cm dickes Festeis, in den 
Einfahrten zusammenhängendes 15-25 cm dickes 
Eis. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 15-30 cm dickes 
Festeis und dünnes ebenes Eis, in den äußeren 
Schären dünnes ebenes Eis und Neueis. Weiter 
außerhalb bildet sich Neueis und driftet Eisbrei. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 15-35 cm 
dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon ein etwa 10-20 sm 
breiter Gürtel mit sehr dichtem dünnen Eis und 
\eueis. - Schwedische Küste: In den Schären liegt 
15-30 cm dickes Festeis. Um Västra Banken und 
Finngrundet driftet dichtes Eis. Der Ängermanälv ist 
mit 20-40 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären liegt 
zwischen Vaasa und Ensten 20-45 cm dickes Fest- 
eis, von Ensten bis Norra Gloppsten zusammen- 
1ängendes 5-20 cm dickes Eis. Weiter außerhalb 
«Kommt dünnes ebenes Eis und treibende Eisbrei-

thick fast ice, in the Pärnu Bay there is 35-50 cm 
thick fast ice up to the latitude of Kihnu. - Latvian 
Coast: In the port of Riga there is open new ice, in 
the Irben Strait very close 10-15 cm thick ice, which 
is compacting and hummocking. Farther out on the 
fairway to Ventspils there is very open pack ice. 
Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: There is 10-15 cm thick fast ice in 
ıhe bays, outside the fast ice there is In the Narva 
Bight new ice and open ice in the Kunda, Muuga 
and Tallinn Bights. - Finnish Coast: In the 
archipelagos there is fast ice, 10-25 cm thick in the 
west and 15-30 cm thick in the east. Off the fast ice 
there is up to the line Hanko — Helsinki lighthouse — 
Gogland — Vigrund. very close 10-25 cm thick ice; 
in the ice field strong pressure occurs. Farther 
southwards there is new ice and thin level ice, 
which is rafted in the east. - Russian Coast: In the 
harbours of St. Petersburg there is fast ice. Farther 
westwards on the fairway 20-35 cm thick fast ice 
occurs to Kotlin, then 15-30 cm thick fast ice to 
Tolbuchin, followed by consolidated 20-30 cm thick 
ice up to Seskar, in which a Polynia, covered with 
new ice, exists. Farther out 15-25cm thick very close 
ice to Gogland and 5-20cm thick very close ice to 
Bengtsher. Farther westwards there is 5-10cm thick 
open ice and new ice. - The inner Vyborg Bay is 
covered with 30-45 cm thick fast ice. Farther out 
there is consolidated 15-25 cm thick ice. - In 
Berkezund there is 20-30 cm thick fast ice, in the 
entrance there is consolidated 15-30 cm thick drift 
ice. - Along the coasts of the Luga and Copora Bay 
there is 15-25 cm thick fast ice, in the entrances 
there is 15-25 cm thick consolidated ice. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the inner archipelagos there is 15-30 cm thick 
fast ice and thin level ice. In the outer skerries 
there is thin level ice and new ice. Farther out there 
is drifting shuga and new ice formation. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelagos there is 15-35 
cm thick fast ice, farther out there is an about 10-20 
nm wide belt of very close thin ice and new ice. - 
Swedish Coast: In the archipelagos there is 10-30 
cm thick fast ice. Around Västra Banken and 
Finngrundet there is close drift ice. The 
Ängermanälv is covered with 20-40 thick fast ice.
