Lettische Küste: Im Hafen von Riga lockeres 10-15 
cm dickes Eis, in der Irbenstraße kompaktes 10-15 
cm dickes Eis, weiter im Fahrwasser nach Ventspils 
treibt lockeres Eis. 
Coast: In the port of Riga there is open 10-15 cm 
thick ice, in the Irben Strait compact 10-15 cm thick 
ice, farther out on the fairway to Ventspils there is 
open pack ice. 
Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: There is 10-15 cm thick fast ice in 
'he bays, outside the fast ice there is In the Narva 
Bight new ice and open ice in the Kunda, Muuga 
and Tallinn Bights. - Finnish Coast: In the 
archipelagos there is fast ice, 10-25 cm thick in the 
west and 15-30 cm thick in the east. Off the fast ice

Gogland — Vigrund. very close 10-25 cm thick ice; 
in the ice field strong pressure occurs. Farther 
southwards up to the line Utö — Hiiumaa there is

harbours of St. Petersburg there is fast ice. Farther 
westwards on the fairway 20-35 cm thick fast ice 
occurs to Kotlin, then 15-30 cm thick fast ice to 
Tolbuchin, followed by consolidated 20-30 cm thick 
ice up to Seskar and consolidated 15-25 cm thick ice 
up to RodSer. Farther westwards there is very close, 
5-15 cm thick ice up to the longitude of Pakri. - The 
inner Vyborg Bay is covered with 30-45 cm thick fast 
ice. Farther out there is consolidated 15-25 cm thick 
ice. - In Berkezund there is 20-30 cm thick fast ice, 
in the entrance there is consolidated 15-30 cm 
thick drift ice. - Along the coasts of the Luga and 
Copora Bay there is 15-25 cm thick fast ice, in the 
entrances there is 15-25 cm thick consolidated and 
compact ice, at the entrance to Corpora Bay also 
very close, 15-25 cm thick ice. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In den Buchten 10-15 cm dickes 
Festeis, außerhalb davon liegt in der Narvabucht 
Neueis und in der Kunda-, Muuga- und Tallinnbucht 
ockeres Eis. - Finnische Küste: In den Schären 
iegt Festeis, im Westen 10-25 cm, im Osten 15-30 
cm dick. Anschließend bis zur Linie Hanko — 
Helsinki-Leuchtturmm — Gogland — Vigrund sehr 
dichtes 10-25 dickes Eis; im Eisfeld kommt es zu 
schweren Eispressungen. Weiter S-lich bis zur Linie 
Jtö — Hiiumaa dünnes ebenes Eis und Neueis. Im 
Osten schließt an das Festeis sehr dichtes 10-25 cm 
dickes Eis. Weiter S-lich liegt dünnes ebenes Eis 
ind Neueis. - Russische Küste: In den Häfen von 
St. Petersburg liegt Festeis. Weiter westwärts im 
Fahrwasser bis Kotlin 20-35 cm dickes Festeis, 
weiter bis Tolbuchin 15-30 cm dickes Festeis, dann 
bis Seskar zusammenhängendes 20-30 cm dickes 
Eis, anschließend bis RodSer zusammenhängendes 
15-25 cm dickes Eis. Weiter westwärts kommt bis 
zur Länge von Pakri sehr dichtes 5-15 cm dickes Eis 
vor. - Die innere Vyborgbucht ist mit 30-45 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt, außerhalb davon liegt 
zusammenhängendes 15-25 cm dickes Eis. - Im 
3Zerkezund 20-30 cm dickes Festeis und in der 
Einfahrt zusammenhängendes 15-30 cm dickes 
Treibeis. - An den Küsten der Copora- und Luga 
3ucht liegt 15-25 cm dickes Festeis, in den 
Einfahrten zusammenhängendes und kompaktes 
15-25 cm dickes Eis, bei der Copora Bucht auch 
sehr dichtes, 15-25 cm dickes Eis. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 15-30 cm dickes 
Festeis und dünnes ebenes Eis, in den äußeren 
Schären dünnes ebenes Eis; am Eisrand kommen 
stellenweise schmale Gürtel mit festgestampftem 
Eis vor. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 15-35 cm 
dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon ein etwa 5-10 sm 
breiter Gürtel mit sehr dichtem dünnen Eis und 
\eueis. - Schwedische Küste: In den Schären liegt 
10-30 cm dickes Festeis. In der Gävlebucht treibt S- 
ich von Ag6ö lockeres 5-15 cm dickes Eis. Der 
Ängermanälv ist mit 20-40 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt. 
Archipelago Sea 
'n the inner archipelagos there is 15-30 cm thick 
“ast ice and thin level ice. In the outer skerries 
‚here is thin level ice; at the ice edge there are 
narrow brash ice barriers, in places. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelagos there is 15-35

Swedish Coast: In the archipelagos there is 10-30 
sm thick fast ice. In the Gävle Bight open 5-15 cm 
rhick ice is drifting south of Agö. The Angermanälv 
Is covered with 20-40 thick fast ice. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären liegt 
zwischen Vaasa und Ensten 20-45 cm dickes Fest- 
eis, von Ensten bis MNorra Giloppsten 
zusammenhängendes 5-20 cm dickes Eis. Weiter 
außerhalb kommt dünnes ebenes Eis und treibende 
Eisbreiklümpchen bis westlich Norrskär vor. - 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnish Coast: In the inner archipelago there is 
20-45 cm thick fast ice between Vaasa and Ensten, 
rom Ensten to MNorra Gloppsten there is 
consolidated 5-20 cm thick drift ice. Farther out 
‘here is thin level ice and drifting shuga to the west
