Eisbildung vor. - Russische Küste: In den Häfen 
von St. Petersburg liegt zusammengeschobenes 
otwa 10 cm dickes Eis. Weiter westwärts bis zur 
Länge von Kotlin kommt im Fahrwasser 10-15 cm 
dickes Festeis, dann bis zur Länge des Leuchtturms 
Tolbuchin zusammengeschobenes 5-15 cm dickes 
Eis vor. Anschließend tritt bis zur Länge des 
Leuchtturms Krasnaja Gorka Neueis auf. - Die 
innere Vyborgbucht ist mit 8-12 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt. Außerhalb davon kommt bis zur Breite des 
Leuchtturms Rondo erst zusammengeschobenes 5- 
10 cm dickes Eis, dann Neueis vor. - Im Berkezund 
liegt zusammengeschobenes Eis und Neueis. - In 
der Copora und Luga Bucht tritt entlang der Küste 
Neueis auf. 
Bottensee 
Schwedische Küste: Auf dem Ängermanälv kommt 
nördlich der Sandöbrücke sehr dichtes 5-10 cm 
dickes Eis, südlich davon meist lockeres Neueis vor. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären kommt 
Neueis vor. - Schwedische Küste: In den inneren 
Buchten und kleineren Häfen tritt örtlich Neueis auf. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: In den nördlichen inneren 
Schären liegt 5-15 cm dickes Festeis oder ebenes 
Eis. Außerhalb davon kommt bis Kemi 1 und Qulun 
Portti Neueis, dann Eisbildung vor. - Schwedische 
Küste: In den nördlichen inneren Schären liegt 10- 
20 cm dickes Festeis. Außerhalb davon kommt 
überwiegend offenes Wasser vor.

Swedish Coast: On the Ängermanälv there is

ice, south of it mostly open new ice.

new ice. - Swedish Coast: In the inner bays and 
small harbours there is new ice, in places. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: The northern inner archipelago are 
covered with 5-15 cm thick fast ice or level ice. 
Farther out there is new ice to Kemi 1 and Oulun 
Portti, then ice formation. - Swedish Coast: In the 
northern inner archipelagos 10-20 cm thick fast ice 
occurs. Farther off there is mostly open water. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
In den nächsten drei Tagen ist im Bereich des 
Bottnischen Meerbusens mit überwiegend mäßigem 
Frost zu rechnen. Die Eiszunahme wird hier daher 
gering bleiben. Im Rigaischen Meerbusen und im 
Finnischen Meerbusen setzt sich die intensive 
Eisbildung fort. Auch in den flachen und geschützt 
liegenden Küstengewässern des südlichen 
Ostseeraumes wird sich während des Wochenendes 
Neueis bilden. 
Expected Ice Development 
Within the next three days moderate frost will 
predominate in the region of the Gulf of Bothnia. 
Therefore, no major ice increase is expected here. 
n the regions of the Gulf of Riga and of the Gulf of 
Finland intensive ice formation will continue. In the 
shallow and sheltered coastal waters of the 
southern region of the Baltic Sea new ice will form 
during the week-end, too.
