kommt bis zur Breite der Südspitze von Kihnu zu- 
sammengeschobenes 10-15 cm dickes Eis, dann bis 
zur Breite 58°N Neueis vor. Der Moonsund ist mit 
15-30 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. Entlang der 
\lordostküste des Meerbusens und der Südküste 
von Saaremaa erstreckt sich ein 3-6 sm breiter 
Gürtel mit zusammengeschobenem 5-15 cm dicken 
Eis. - Lettische Küste: Im Hafen von Riga und im 
Fahrwasser zur Irbenstraße und weiter nach 
Ventspils kommt sehr lockeres dünnes Treibeis vor. 
Fast überall Neueisbildung. 
to the latitude of the southern point of the island 
Xihnu there is 10-15 cm thick compact ice, then to 
latitude 58° N new ice. In Moonsund there is 15- 
30 cm thick fast ice, along the northeastern gulf 
coast and the southern coast of Saaremaa a 3-6 
nm wide belt of 5-15 cm thick compact ice occurs. - 
Latvian Coast: In the port of Riga and on the 
fairway Riga — Irben Strait and farther to Ventspils 
there is very open thin ice. Almost everywhere new 
ice formation. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Narva- und Kundabucht 
jegt ein schmaler Festeissaum und dichtes 5-10 cm 
dickes Eis außerhalb davon. Im Bereich des Hafens 
von Muuga kommt lockeres, 5-15 cm dickes Eis vor 
- Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären liegt 10- 
25 cm dickes Festeis, anschließend kommt bis hin 
zu südlich Jussarö ‚ Porkkala Leuchtturm, südlich 
von Kalbädagrund und bis nach Vaidlo dünnes Eis 
Jınd Neueis vor. Weiter südlich stellenweise noch 
sehr lockeres, dünnes eis. Saimaasee: Im Nordteil 
jegt 20-35 cm dickes, im mittleren und südlichen 
Teil sowie im Kanal 15-25cm dickes Eis. - 
Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St. Petersburg 
jegt Festeis. Weiter westwärts im Fahrwasser liegt 
bis Kotlin 15-30 cm dickes Festeis, dann bis Seskar 
sehr dichtes 15-25 cm dickes Eis, anschließend bis 
Vigrund Leuchtturm sehr dichtes 10-20 cm dickes 
Eis. Weiter bis Nähe Rod$S$er kommt sehr lockeres 
Eis und Neueis vor. - Die innere Vyborgbucht ist mit 
20-35 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt, außerhalb davon 
'iegt bis MoSCnyj] sehr dichtes 10-20 cm dickes Eis. - 
Im Berkezund liegt 12-25 cm dickes Festeis und in 
der Einfahrt sehr dichtes 15-25 cm dickes Eis. - An 
den Küsten der Copora- und Luga Bucht liegt 10-15 
cm dickes Festeis, in der Einfahrten sehr dichtes 5- 
20 cm dickes Eis. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 10-25 cm dickes 
Festeis und dünnes ebenes Eis, anschließend in 
den äußeren Schären dünnes Eis. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären liegt 15- 
30 cm dickes Festeis, weiter außerhalb kommt auf 
etwa 5 sm sehr dichtes dünnes Eis vor; an seinem 
Rand stellenweise festgestampftes Eis. - 
Schwedische Küste: In den nördlichen Schären 
jegt 10-20 cm dickes Festeis. Auf See kommt 
1ördlich von Härnösand Neueis und Eisbrei vor, 
Weiter südwärts tritt bis zur Gävle Bucht auf etwa 10 
sm von der Küste Neueis auf. In der Gävle Bucht 
legt bis 8sm vor Eggegrund zusammenge- 
schobenes 5-15 cm dickes Trümmereis und ein 
Gürtel aus gefrorenen Eisbreiklümpchen. Der 
Ängermanälv ist mit 15-30 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt. 
Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: In the Narva and Kunda Bay 
there is a narrow belt of fast ice and close 5-10 cm 
thick ice farther off. In the area of the port of Muuga 
'here is open ice, 5-15 cm thick. - Finnish Coast: 
'n the inner archipelagos there is 10-25 cm thick 
fast ice. Off the fast ice there is thin ice and new ice 
out to south of Jussarö, to Porkkala lighthouse, to

inner Vyborg Bay is covered with 20-35 cm thick fast 
ice. Farther out there is very close 10-20 cm thick ice 
to MoSEnyj. - In Berkezund there is 12-25 cm thick 
fast ice, in the entrance there is very close 15-25 
cm thick ice. - Along the coasts of the Luga and 
Copora Bay there is 10-15 cm thick fast ice, in the 
entrances there is 5-20 cm thick very close ice. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the inner archipelagos there is 10-25 cm thick 
fast ice and thin level ice. In the outer skerries 
there is thin ice, in places, 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the inner archipelagos there is 
15-30 cm thick fast ice, farther out there is a about 
5 nm wide belt with very close thin ice; at its edge 
there is a brash ice barrier, in places... - Swedish 
Coast: In the northern archipelagos there is 10-20 
cm thick fast ice. At sea north of Härnösand there 
is new ice and shuga. Farther southwards up to the 
Gävle Bight there is new ice for about 10 nm off the 
coast. In the Gävle Bight up 8nm off Eggegrund 
sompact 5-15 cm thick brash ice and a belt of 
frozen shuga occurs. The Ängermanälv is covered 
with 15-30 thick fast ice.
