Übersicht 
Die Eisbildung in den Küstenbereichen des nördlichen 
Dstseeraumes dauert an. 
Die ersten Schifffahrtsbeschränkungen für die 
finnischen Häfen Tornio, Kemi und Oulu sowie für 
Saimaasee und Saimaakanal treten mit Wirkung 
vom 21. Dezember, für die schwedischen Häfen 
Karlsborg, Luleäa, Haraholmen vom 23. Dezember in 
Kraft. 
Südliche Ostsee 
Litauische Küste: Im Hafen Klaipeda sehr dichte 
Eisbreiklümpchen und dunkler Nilas treiben langsam 
n1ordwestwärts, in der Zufahrt kommt offenes 
Wasser vor. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Pärnubucht und im 
Moonsund kommt Neueis und Eisbildung vor. - 
Lettische Küste: Entlang der Südküste und in der 
irbenstraße tritt örtlich Neueis auf. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Narva-, Kunda und 
Muugabucht tritt in der Küstenähe Neueis auf. — 
Finnische Küste: Außerhalb Kotka und Hamina 
<ommt Neueis und Eisbildung vor. Saimaasee: Im 
Nordteil und im Kanal kommt Neueis und Eisbildung 
vor. - Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St. 
Petersburg liegt zusammengeschobenes etwa 10 
cm dickes Eis. Weiter westwärts bis zur Länge der 
Ostspitze von Kotlin kommt im Fahrwasser 8-12 cm 
dickes Festeis. dann bis zur Länge des Leuchtturms

Southern Baltic 
Lithuanian coast: In the harbour of Klaipeda very 
close shuga and dark nilas is slowly drifting 
1orthwestwards, in the entrance open water

Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: In the Pärnu Bay and in 
Moonsund there is new ice and ice formation. - 
Latvian Coast: Along the southern coast and in 
the Irben Strait new ice occurs, in places. 
Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: In the Narva, Kunda and Muuga 
Bights there is new ice near the coast. - Finnish 
Coast: Off Kotka and Hamina there is new ice and 
ce formation. Lake Saimaa: In the northern part 
and in Canal there is new ice and ice formation. - 
Russian Coast: In the harbours of St. Petersburg 
there is compact about 10 cm thick ice. Farther 
westwards on the fairway 8-12 cm thick fast ice
