Toensberg und Kragerg kommt Neueis, 15-30 cm 
dickes Festeis oder sehr dichtes Treibeis vor, im 
Vestfjorden ist das Eis bis zu 50 cm dick. In den 
Bereichen Sandefjord und Larvik offenes Wasser. 
im Bereich Porsgrunn sehr lockeres bis lockeres 
Neueis. Im Bereich Kragero überwiegend 15-30 cm 
dickes Festeis. Im Bereich Arendal sehr lockeres Eis 
und dünnes Festeis, im Tromoysund ist das Festeis 
aber 15-30 cm dick. - Schwedische Küste: In den 
Schären zwischen Göteborg und Strömstad kommt 
dünnes Festeis und Neueis vor, ansonsten in den 
Schären offenes Wasser. 
Vestfjorden there is up to 50 cm thick ice. In the 
Sandefjord and Larvik regions there is open water. 
In the Porsgrunn area there is open to very open 
new ice. In the Kragero area there is mostly 15-30 
cm thick fast ice. In the Arendal region there is very 
open new ice and thin fast ice, but in Tromgysund 
the fast ice is 15-30 cm thick. - Swedish Coast: in 
the archipelagos between Gothenburg and 
Strömstad thin fast ice and new ice occurs. Else 
there is only open water in the archipelagos. 
Westliche und Südliche Ostsee 
Deutsche Küste: Die innere Schlei ist mit 10-15 cm 
dickem Eis bedeckt. In den Häfen von Heiligen- 
hafen, Wismar und Rostock liegt dünnes Eis. Die 
3oddengewässer südlich von Darß und Zingst sind 
mit 5-10 cm dickem Eis bedeckt, der Zingster Strom 
ist eisfrei. In den inneren Gewässern nördlich von 
Stralsund liegt kompaktes 10-15 cm dickes Eis und 
Festeis. Im Fahrwasser von Stralsund bis Palmer 
Ort kommt sehr dichtes 10-15 cm dickes Eis vor. Im 
Greifswalder Bodden treibt westlich der Linie 
Thiessow — Freesendorfer Haken Pfannkucheneis, 
an den Küsten liegt kompaktes bis zu 20 cm dickes 
Eis, welches stellenweise zusammengeschoben ist. 
Der südliche Peenestrom, die inneren 
Boddengewässer und das Kleine Haff sind mit 10-15 
cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. - Litauische Küste: Im 
Hafen von Klaipeda und in der Hafeneinfahrt sehr 
'ockeres bis lockeres Neueis. In den Fahrwassern 
kommt offenes Wasser vor. Kurisches Haff ist mit 
20-25 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. - Polnische 
Küste: Im Stettiner Haff liegt kompaktes 10-15 cm 
dickes Eis, im Fahrwasser Szczecin — Swinoujscie 
kommt sehr dichtes 15 cm dickes Trümmereis vor.

Western and Southern Baltic 
German Coast: The inner Schlei is covered with 
10-15 cm thick ice. There is new ice in the 
harbours of Lübeck and Heiligenhafen and in the 
harbours of Wismar and Rostock there is very open 
to compact thin ice. The Bodden waters south of 
Darß and Zingst are covered with 5-10 cm thick 
‘ce, the Zingster Strom is ice free. In the inner 
waters north of Stralsund there is 10-15cm thick 
close ice and fast ice. In the fairway from Stralsund 
to Palmer Ort there is 10-15 cm thick, very close 
‘ce. In the Greifswalder Bodden pancake ice is 
drifting west of the line Thiessow — Freesendorfer 
Haken, near the coasts there is compact up to 20 
cm thick ice, which is rafted in places. The 
Peenestrom south of Wolgast, the inner Bodden 
waters and the Kleines Haff are covered with 10-15 
cm thick fast ice. - Lithuanian Coast: In the 
harbour of Klaipeda and in the entrance there is 
open to very open new ice, on the fairways there is 
open water. The Courland Lagoon is covered with 
20-25 cm thick fast ice. - Polish Coast: In 
Szczecin Lagoon there is compact 10-15 cm thick 
ice, on the fairway Szczecin — SwinoujsScie there is 
very close, 15 cm thick broken ice. In the port of 
Szczecin there is very close 10-15 cm thick ice, in 
the port of Swinoujscie open water occurs. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
Swedish coast: In the Stockholm archipelago 
there is thin fast ice in the northern and middle 
parts and new ice in the southern part. Farther 
southwards to the Kalmarsund there is in the 
archipelagos 10 cm thick level ice or new ice. - 
Lake Mälaren: Covered with 10-30 cm thick fast 
ce. Lake Vänern: In the inner northern 
archipelagoes and in Vänersborgsviken there is 5- 
30 cm thick fast ice. There is frozen shuga off the 
entrance to Lidköping and Vänersborgsviken. New 
ice formation off the coast as well as in the Lurö 
archipelago. - Latvian Coast: There is open thin 
ice in the port of Ventspils and very open ice in the 
port of Liepaja. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: In the Pärnu Bay there is 25-35 
cm thick fast ice. Farther out up to the longitude of 
the island Kihnu there is 10-15 cm thick very close 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Schwedische Küste: In den Stockholmer Schären 
liegt im N-lichen und mittleren Teil dünnes Festeis 
und im S-lichen Teil Neueis. Weiter südlich, bis zum 
Kalmarsund, kommt in den Schären 10 cm dickes 
ebenes Eis oder Neueis vor. Mälarsee: Mit 10-30 
cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. Vänernsee: In den 
‚nneren nördlichen Schären und in 
Vänersborgsviken 5-30 cm dickes Festeis. Vor 
Lidköping und Vänersborgsviken liegt gefrorener 
Eisbrei. Neueisbildung entlang der Küste sowie in 
den Schären bei Lurö. - Lettische Küste: Im Hafen 
von Ventspils lockeres dünnes Eis, im Hafen von 
Liepaija sehr lockeres Eis. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Pärnubucht liegt 25-35 cm 
dickes Festeis. Weiter außerhalb kommt bis Kihnu 
sehr dichtes 10-15 cm dickes Eis. dann bis zur
