Meerbusens größere fast eisfreie Gebiete auf. Der 
stetige Eisrückgang setzte sich in den folgenden 
Wochen fort. Anfang Mai kam Eis nur noch im 
Saimaasee und nördlich von 63 C N vor, und zum 
26.5.2006 traten nur noch in der Bottenvik sehr 
vereinzelt treibende Eisschollen und Eisblöcke auf. 
The steady retreat of ice continued in the following 
weeks. At the beginning of May, ice was observed 
only in the Saimaa Lake and north of 63TM, and on 
26 May 2006 only a few drifting ice floes and floe bits 
were observed in the Bay of Bothnia.
