Westliche Ostsee 
Deutsche Küste: Die innere Schlei ist 
stellenweise mit etwa 5 cm dickem Eis bedeckt. Im 
Hafen Wismar liegt bis zu 10 cm dickes lockeres 
Eis, weiter außerhalb eisfrei. Der Stadthafen 
Rostock ist mit bis zu 10 cm dickem, teilweise 
ÄIbereinandergeschobenen Eis bedeckt. Auf der 
Unterwarnow vom Stadthafen nordwärts bis zur 
Tonne 67/NW1 etwa 6 cm dicke geschlossene 
EFisdecke mit einer gebrochenen Fahrrinne. Die 
3oddengewässer südlich vom Darß und Zingst 
sind teilweise mit 5-10 cm dickem Eis bedeckt. 
Südliche Ostsee 
Deutsche Küste: In den inneren Boddenge- 
wässern tritt dünnes lockeres Eis sowie Neueis 
auf. Im Stralsunder Hafen kommt stellenweise 
Neueis vor, von dort nach Norden bis Barhöft liegt 
‘mn den Buchten dünnes Eis. Von Stralsund bis 
Palmer Ort kommt Srtlich Neueis vor, in der 
Palmer-Ort-Rinne ist das Eis zusammengescho- 
ben. In Küstennähe und in geschützten Buchten 
des südlichen Greifswalder Boddens kommt bis zu 
10 cm dickes Festeis vor, ansonsten eisfrei. Auf 
dem Peenestrom nördlich von Wolgast liegt in den 
Buchten sehr dünnes Eis, sonst eisfrei. Der 
südliche Peenestrom, der Peenefluß und das 
Kleine Haff sind fast vollständig mit 5-12 cm 
dickem Eis bedeckt. - Polnische Küste: Im 
Stettiner Haff liegt sehr dichtes 7-10 cm dickes Eis. 
im Fahrwasser Szczecin — Swinoujscie kommt 
sehr dichtes, teilweise übereinandergeschobenes 
bis zu 15 cm dickes Eis vor. 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Schwedische Küste: Mälarsee: Zwischen Köping 
Jnd Kvicksund liegt 5-20 cm dickes Festeis. Weiter 
Östlich kommt dünnes ebenes Eis oder Neueis vor. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Pärnu Bucht liegt 10-15 
cm dickes Festeis. Moonsund ist In der 
Küstenzone mit 5-10 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt, 
weiter außerhalb kommt dichtes bis sehr dichtes 
Treibeis vor. - Lettische Küste: Im Hafen Riga 
und weiter im Fahrwasser Richtung Irbenstraße 
offenes Wasser. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Narva- und Kundabucht 
kommt Neueis vor. - Finnische Küste: In den 
inneren Schären liegt dünnes Eis. Saimaasee: Auf 
dem See und im Kanal 10-30 cm dickes Eis. - 
Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St. Peters- 
burg kommt zusammengeschobenes 15-25 cm 
dickes Eis vor. Im Fahrwasser weiter westwärts 
liegt bis zur Ostspitze Kotlin 15-30 cm dickes 
Western Baltic 
German Coast: The inner Schlei is partly covered 
with about 5 cm thick ice. In the harbour of Wismar 
ihere is open, up to 10 cm thick ice, farther out ice 
iree. The city port of Rostock is covered by thin ice, 
which is partly rafted and 10 cm thick. On the 
Unterwarnow, from city port northwards to the boy 
ST/NWI1, the ice cover is about 6 cm thick, fairway is 
oroken. The Bodden waters south of Darß and 
Zingst are partly covered with 5-10 cm thick fast ice. 
Southern Baltic 
German Coast: In the inner Bodden waters there is 
ihin open ice and new ice. In the harbour of 
Stralsund there is new ice in places, farther 
ı1orthwards to Barhöft thin ice occurs in the sheltered 
Days. From Stralsund to Palmer Ort there is partly 
ı1ew ice, ice is compacted in the Palmer-Ort- 
Channel. In the coastal areas and sheltered bays of 
the southern Greifswalder Bodden there is up to 10 
cm thick fast ice, else ice-free. On the Peenestrom 
1orth of Wolgast there is thin ice in the sheltered 
Days, else ice-free. The southern Peenestrom, the 
Peenefluß and the Kleine Haff are nearly totally 
zovered with 5-12 cm thick ice. - Polish Coast: In 
Stettiner Haff there is very close 7-10 cm thick ice. 
On the fairway Szczecin — Swinoujscie very close, 
partly rafted up to 15 cm thick ice occurs. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
Swedish coast: Lake Mälaren: In the western part 
between Köping and Kvicksund there is 5-20 cm 
ihick fast ice. Farther eastward there is thin level ice 
or new ice. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: In Parnu Bay there is 10-15 cm 
‘hick fast ice. Moonsund is covered with 5-10 cm 
*hick fast ice in the coastal zone, farther out with 
close to very close drift ice. - Latvian Coast: In the 
port of Riga and farther off on the fairway to Irben 
Strait there is open water. 
Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: In the Bays of Narva and Kunda 
there is new ice. - Finnish Coast: There is thin ice in 
the inner archipelago. Lake Saimaa: On the lake and 
in the Canal there is 10-30 cm thick ice. - Russian 
Coast: In the harbours of St. Petersburg there is 
sompact 15-25 cm thick ice. Farther westwards on the 
fairway up to the eastern point of the Island Kotlin 
there is 15-30 cm thick fast ice followed by 15-25 cm
