Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung
Zwischen hohem Luftdruck über Russland und
tiefem Luftdruck westlich von Skandinavien wird bis
lber das Wochenende hinaus vom Süden her
sea in the southern part there is mostly close and
very close 10-30 cm thick drift ice. Off Blackkallen
*here is an area with up to 40 cm thick ice floes.
Expected Ice Development
Between the high pressure over Russia and low
pressure west from Scandinavia milder air will
penetrate over the northern region of the Baltic Sea
rom the south past the week-end. The ice
conditions in the Bay of Bothnia will not change
very much within the next 24 hours. Later,
northwestern ice drift and ice pressure on the
windward coasts is to be expected. The ice
decrease in the Quark and in the Sea of Bothnia
will further continue, in the Archipelago Sea, in the
Gulf of Finland and in the Gulf of Riga it will
accelerate.
