Südlich von Falkensgrund können einige sehr dicke
Schollen den Schiffsverkehr behindern. Im südlichen
Teil liegt dichtes und sehr dichtes 10-30 cm dickes
Eis. Außerhalb Blackkallen kommt ein Bereich mit
bis zu 40 cm dicken Eisschollen vor.
obstruct the traffic. At sea in the southern part there
is mostly close and very close 10-30 cm thick drift
ice. Off Blackkallen there is an area with up to 40
cm thick ice floes.
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung
Expected Ice Development
Between the high pressure over Russia and low
pressure western from Scandinavia milder air will
benetrate over the northern region of the Baltic Sea
'rom the south till the end of this week. The ice
conditions in the Bay of Bothnia will not change
very much within the next two days. Later, a
northern ice drift and ice pressure on the windward
soasts is to be expected. The ice decrease in the
Quark and in the Sea of Bothnia will further
continue, in the Archipelago Sea, in the Gulf of
Finland and in the Gulf of Riga it will accelerate.
