Finnischer Meerbusen 
Finnische Küste: In den westlichen Schären 5-25 
cm dickes, morsch werdendes Festeis. Außerhalb 
davon treibt Örtlich lockeres dünnes Eis. In den 
Östlichen inneren Schären liegt 15-30 cm dickes, 
morsch werdendes Festeis, in den äußeren Schären 
kommt meist offenes Wasser und örtlich lockeres 
10-25 cm dickes Eis vor. - Russische Küste: In den 
Häfen von St. Petersburg treibt sehr lockeres 
dünnes Eis. Weiter westwärts kommt im Fahrwasser 
erst bis zur Länge von Petrodvorec sehr dichtes bis 
dichtes 30-40 cm dickes Eis, dann eisfreie Fläche 
bis Kronstadt und bis zur Westspitze von Koltlin 
dichtes 25-35 cm dickes Treibeis vor. Anschließend 
ist es eisfrei bis zur Länge des Kaps Dubovskij 
‚Copora Bucht), dann tritt bis zur Länge vom Kap 
Kurgalskij sehr lockeres Treibeis und westlich davon 
neist offenes Wasser auf. - Die Vyborgbucht ist bis 
zur Breite der Insel Vichrevoy mit 30-45 cm dickem 
Festeis bedeckt. In der Einfahrt kommt sehr lockeres 
Treibeis vor. - Der Berkezund ist mit 15-30 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt, in der Einfahrt kommt sehr 
lockeres Treibeis vor. - In der Luga Bucht und in der 
Einfahrt tritt offenes Wasser auf. 
Schärenmeer 
In den Zufahrten nach Korra und Lohm offenes 
Wasser sowie stellenweise sehr lockeres dünnes 
Eis. Sonst kommt in den inneren Schären morsches 
ebenes Eis vor. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären liegt 15- 
40 cm dickes, morsch werdendes Festeis. - 
Schwedische Küste: In den inneren Buchten und 
Häfen liegt bis zu 25 cm dickes, morsch werdendes 
Festeis. Der Ängermanälven ist mit 30-50 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt. Von Gunvorsgrund bis zur 
3reite von Ulvöarna erstreckt sich südwestwärts 
entlang der Küste ein Gürtel mit dichtem 5-30 cm 
dicken Eis und Eisbreiklümpchen, sonst auf See 
eisfrei. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: Zwischen Vaasa und Ensten liegt 
20-45 cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon kommt 
bis Norrskär offenes Wasser vor. - Schwedische 
Küste: In den Buchten und Häfen entlang der Küste 
Ind westlich von Holmöarna liegt 20-40 cm dickes 
Festeis. Nördlich und östlich von Nordvalen kommen 
wechselweise Bereiche mit dichtem und lockerem 5- 
20 cm dicken Treibeis vor. Südwestlich von 
Nordvalen treibt überwiegend lockeres dünnes Eis. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: Die nördlichen Schären sind bis 
zur Linie Kemi 2 - Oulu 1 mit 40-70 cm, die 
südlichen Schären mit 20-50 cm dickem Festeis be- 
deckt. Außerhalb davon liegt im Norden sehr 
dichtes, stark aufgepresstes 30-50 cm dickes Eis. Im 
Süden tritt sehr dichtes und aufgepresstes 15-50 cm

Gulf of Finland 
Finnish Coast: In the western archipelago there is 
5-25 cm thick rottening fast ice. Farther off open 
thin ice is drifting, in places. In the eastern inner 
archipelago there is 15-30 cm thick rottening fast 
ice, in the outer archipelago there is mostly open 
water and open 10-25 cm thick ice in places. - 
Russian Coast: In the harbours of St. Petersburg 
very open thin ice is drifting. Farther westwards on 
the fairway there is first up to the longitude of 
Petrodvorec very close to close 30-40 cm thick ice, 
then ice-free area to Kronstadt and up to the western 
point of Kotlin close 25-35 cm thick drift ice. Farther 
out up to the longitude of Cape Dubovskij (Copora 
Bay) there is ice-free, then very open drift ice occurs 
up to the longitude of Cape Kurgalskij and west of it 
mostly open water. - The Vyborg Bay is covered up 
to the latitude of island Vichrevoy with 30-45 cm thick 
fast ice. In the entrance there is very open drift ice. - 
In the Berkezund there is 15-30 cm thick fast ice, in 
the entrance very open drift ice occurs. - In the Luga 
Bay and in the entrance there is open water. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the fairways to Korra and Lohm there is open 
water as well as very open thin ice in places. Else 
rotten level ice occurs in the inner archipelagos. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: There is 15-40 cm thick rottening 
fast ice in the inner archipelago. - Swedish Coast: 
In the inner bays and harbours there is up to 25 cm 
rottening fast ice. The Ängermanälven is covered 
with 30-50 cm thick fast ice. From Gunvorsgrund 
extends southwestwards along the coast to the 
latitude of Ulvöarna a belt with close 5-30 cm thick 
ice and shuga, else at sea ice free. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnish Coast: Between Vaasa and Ensten there 
is 20-45 cm thick fast ice, farther out open water 
occurs to Norrskär. - Swedish Coast: In bays and 
harbours along the coast and the west of 
Holmöarna there is 20-40 cm thick fast ice. North 
and east of Nordvalen there are alternating areas 
with close and open 5-20 cm thick drift ice. 
Southwest of Nordvalen mostly open thin ice is 
drifting. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: The northern archipelagos are 
zovered up to the line Kemi 2 — Oulu 1 with 40-70 
sm, the southern archipelagos with 20-50 cm thick 
fast ice. Farther out in the northern part there is 
very close, heavily ridged 30-50 cm thick ice. In the 
southern part there is very close ridged 15-50 cm
