Eisbildung in der Bottenvik und in der nördlichen 
Bottensee setzt sich weiter fort.

Ice growth and new ice formation in the Bay of 
Bothnia and in the northern Sea of Bothnia 
continues. 
Skagerrak, Kattegat und Beltsee 
Norwegische Küste: In einigen geschützten 
3Zereichen treibt sehr lockeres dünnes Eis. Im Hafen 
von Oslo, im Drammensfjord, im Skätoysund und im 
_angärsund kommt offenes Wasser vor. Im 
Kilsfjorden und im Hellefjorden tritt 10-15 cm dickes 
Festeis und Treibeis auf; Schifffahrt verläuft in einer 
Rinne ohne Eisbrecherunterstützung. “ 
Schwedische Küste: Vänersee: In den nördlichen 
Schären liegt 10-20 cm dickes, zum Teil morsches 
Festeis. Im Eis kommen Rinnen und Risse vor. 
Skagerrak, Kattegat and Belt Sea 
Norwegian Coast: In some sheltered areas there 
is very open thin ice. In the harbour of Oslo, in 
Drammensfjorden, in the Skäteysund and in the 
Langärsund open water occurs. In Kilsfjorden and 
Hellefjorden there is 10-15 cm thick fast ice and 
drift ice; navigation proceeds in lead without the 
assistance of an icebreaker. - Swedish Coast: 
Lake Vänern: In the northern archipelagos there is 
‚0-20 cm thick, partly rotten fast ice. There are 
some leads and cracks in the ice cover. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
'n the southeastern part of Courland Lagoon there 
are ice remnants. - Swedish coast: In sheltered 
bays and archipelagos there is open thin ice. Lake 
Mälaren: Covered by 15-25 cm thick fast ice or 
level ice. There are leads and cracks in the ice 
cover in places. 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Im Kurischen Haff liegen im Südostteil Eisreste. - 
Schwedische Küste: In geschützten Buchten und 
Schären kommt lockeres dünnes Eis vor. Mälarsee: 
Mit 15-25 cm dickem Festeis oder ebenem Eis 
bedeckt. In der Eisdecke kommen örtlich Rinnen 
and Risse vor. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: An der Nordküste liegt örtlich 
sehr dichtes Eis, außerhalb davon treibt sehr 
ockeres Eis. In der Pärnu Bucht liegt ein 1-3 km 
breiter 30-40 cm dicker Festeissaum, sonst kommt 
offenes Wasser vor. Im Moonsund tritt sehr dichtes 
bis dichtes 10-25 cm dickes Eis auf, im Norden 
verläuft bis zur Breite des Kaps Puisenina eine 
eisfreie Rinne. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: Along the northern coast there is 
/ery close ice in places, farther off very open ice is 
drifting. In the Pärnu Bay there is 30-40 cm thick 
’ast ice with a width of 1-3 km, else open water 
accurs. In Moonsund there is very close to close 
10-25 cm thick ice, in the north up to the latitude of 
Cape Puisenina runs an open lead.
