Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: An der nördlichen Küste liegt auf 
3-5 sm lockeres und dichtes, teilweise aufge- 
presstes 5-20 cm dickes Treibeis. In der Pärnu 
Bucht liegt ein schmaler Festeissaum, 30-40 cm 
dick, entlang der Ostküste verläuft eine breite Rinne. 
Außerhalb davon kommt bis zur Breite der Insel 
Kihnu dichtes, teilweise aufgepresstes 10-20 cm 
dickes Eis vor. Im Moonsund liegt in der Küstenzone 
15-30 cm dickes, teilweise aufgebrochenes Festeis, 
außerhalb davon kommt im zentralen Bereich 
'ockeres bis dichtes 10-20 cm dickes Eis, im Norden 
offenes Wasser vor. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Das Eis auf See liegt nördlich der Linie Jussarö — 
Kalbädagrund — Leuchtturm Kotka — Gogland — 
MoSCnyj —- Seskar — nordöstlich vom Kap 
Stirsudden. 
Estnische Küste: In der Narvabucht treibt in der 
Küstennähe sehr lockeres 5-10 cm dickes Eis, in der 
Kunda Bucht kommt an der Küste dunkler Nilas vor. 
- Finnische Küste: In den westlichen Schären 10- 
25 cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon kommt 
dichtes dünnes Eis vor. In den östlichen Schären 
liegt 15-30 cm dickes Festeis. Außerhalb davon tritt 
bis zur Eisgrenze dichtes bis sehr dichtes 10-35 cm 
dickes Eis auf. - Russische Küste: In den Häfen 
von St. Petersburg lockeres 20-30 cm dickes Eis. 
Weiter westwärts kommt im Fahrwasser bis zur 
Länge von Kronstadt sehr dichtes 30-45 cm dickes 
Eis, dann sehr lockeres Eis bis zur Länge von Kap 
Seraja LoSad' vor. Anschließend tritt bis zur Länge 
von Seskar offenes Wasser, dann bis zur Eisgrenze 
dichtes bis sehr dichtes 10-25 cm dickes Eis auf. - 
Die Vyborgbucht ist mit 30-45 cm dickem Festeis 
vedeckt, außerhalb davon liegt sehr dichtes 15-30 
cm dickes Eis. - Berkezund ist mit 15-30 cm dickem 
Festeis bedeckt, anschließend kommt sehr lockeres 
Eis vor. - An der Küste der Lugabucht liegt 10-25 cm 
dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon sehr dichtes 10-25 
cm dickes Eis, anschließend kommt offenes Wasser 
vor. In der Corpora Bucht liegt an der Küste 10-25 
cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon eisfrei. 
Älandsee 
In geschützten Buchten und Schären kommt 
iockeres dünnes Eis vor. 
Schärenmeer 
Zwischen Korra und Lohm liegt dünnes Eis. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären 15-40 cm 
dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon kommt Örtlich 
lockeres dünnes Eis vor. - Schwedische Küste: In 
den inneren Buchten und Häfen liegt bis zu 25 cm, 
auf dem Angermanälven 30-50 cm dickes Festeis. 
Außerhalb davon treiben nördlich von Högbonden 
Gürtel mit lockerem Eis oder Eisbrei.

Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: Along the northern coast there is 
a 3-5 nm wide area with open and close, partly 
:idged 5-20 cm thick drift ice. In the Pärnu Bay 
there is narrow belt of 30-40 cm thick fast ice, a 
wide lead runs along the eastern coast. Farther out 
up to the latitude of island Kihnu there is close, 
Dartly ridged 10-20 cm thick ice. In the coastal zone 
af the Moonsund there is 15-30 cm thick, partly 
Doroken fast ice, farther off there is in the central 
area open and close 10-20 cm thick ice, in the 
north there is open water. 
Gulf of Finland 
The ice at sea is concentrated north of the line 
Jussarö — Kalbädagrund — lighthouse Kotka — 
Gogland — MoSEnyj — Seskar — northeast of Cape 
Stirsudden. 
Estonian Coast: Very open 5-10 cm thick ice is 
drifting near the coast in the Bay of Narva and at 
the coast of the Bay of Kunda there is dark nilas. - 
Finnish Coast: In the western archipelago there is 
‘0-25 cm thick fast ice. Farther off there is very 
close thin ice. In the eastern archipelago there is 
‘5-30 cm thick fast ice. Farther off there is close to 
very close 10-35 cm thick ice up to the ice edge. - 
Russian Coast: In the harbours of St. Petersburg 
there is open 20-30 cm thick ice. Farther westwards 
an the fairway there is very close 30-45 cm thick ice 
up to the longitude of Kronstadt, then very open ice 
up to the longitude of Cape Seraja LoSad'. Farther 
westwards there is open water up to the longitude of 
Seskar and then close to very close 10-25 cm thick 
ice up to the ice edge. - The Vyborg Bay is covered 
with 30-45 cm thick fast ice. Farther off there is very 
slose 15-30 cm thick ice. - In the Berkezund there is 
‘5-30 cm thick fast ice, farther off very open ice. - 
Along the coast of the Luga Bay there is 10-25 cm 
thick fast ice, farther out there is very close 10-25 cm 
thick ice followed by open water. In the Corpora Bay 
there is 10-25 cm thick fast ice along the coast, 
farther out ice-free. 
Sea of Äland 
In sheltered bays and archipelagos there is open 
thin ice. 
Archipelago Sea 
Between Korra and Lohm there is thin ice. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: There is 15-40 cm thick fast ice in 
the inner archipelago, farther off there is open thin 
ice in places. - Swedish Coast: In the inner bays 
and harbours there is up to 25 cm, on the 
Angermanälven 30-50 cm thick fast ice. Farther off 
Delts of open ice or shuga are drifting north of 
Höabonden.
