Rigaischer Meerbusen
Im Norden liegt an der Küste dichtes aufgepresstes
5-15 cm dickes Treibeis, in der Irbenstraße kommt
offenes Wasser vor.
Estnische Küste: In der Pärnu Bucht liegt 30-40 cm
dickes Festeis. Außerhalb davon kommt bis zur
Breite der Insel Kihnu dichtes 10-20 cm dickes Eis,
weiter südlich überwiegend offenes Wasser vor. Im
Moonsund liegt in der Küstenzone 15-30 cm dickes
Festeis, außerhalb davon dichtes bis sehr dichtes
10-25 cm dickes Eis. - Lettische Küste: Eisfrei.
Finnischer Meerbusen
Die Eisgrenze verläuft etwa auf der Linie Harmaja —
Kalbädagrund — Vaindlo — Ust-Narva.
Estnische Küste: In der Narvabucht treibt in
Küstennähe sehr lockeres 5-10 cm dickes Eis, in der
«unda Bucht kommt an der Küste dunkler Nilas vor.
Finnische Küste: In den westlichen Schären 5-25
cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon auf 2-5 sm sehr
dichtes dünnes Eis. In den östlichen Schären liegt
15-25 cm dickes Festeis. Außerhalb davon kommt
bis zur Linie Harmaja —- Orrengrund — Haapasaari
sehr dichtes, teilweise übereinandergeschobenes
10-25 cm dickes Eis, anschließend bis zur Linie
Harmaja — Vaindlo sehr dichtes 10-35 cm dickes Eis
vor. - Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St.
Petersburg dichtes bis sehr dichtes 20-30 cm dickes
Eis. Weiter westwärts liegt bis zur Länge von
Kronstadt 30-45 cm dickes Festeis. Außerhalb
davon kommt im Fahrwasser erst bis zur Länge vom
Leuchtturm Krasnaja Gorka dichtes 20-35 cm dickes
Eis, dann bis zur Länge des Kaps Seraja LoSad'
sehr lockeres Eis und Neueis, anschließend bis
Seskar sehr dichtes, leicht pressendes 20-35 cm
dickes Eis vor. Weiter westwärts tritt erst bis zur
Länge der Insel Gogland sehr dichtes, leicht
pressendes 10-25 cm dickes Eis, dann bis zur
Eisgrenze dichtes 10-25 cm dickes Eis auf. - Die
Vyborgbucht ist mit 30-45 cm dickem Festeis
bedeckt. Außerhalb davon kommt sehr dichtes,
eicht pressendes 15-30 cm dickes Eis vor. - Im
3Berkezund liegt 15-30 cm dickes Festeis,
anschließend kommt sehr dichtes, leicht pressendes
15-35 cm dickes Eis vor. - Die Lugabucht ist mit 10-
25 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. In der Corpora Bucht
liegt an der Küste 10-25 cm dickes Festeis,
außerhalb davon kommt sehr lockeres Treibeis und
Neueis vor.
Älandsee
In geschützten Buchten und Schären kommt
ıockeres dünnes Eis oder Eisbrei vor.
Schärenmeer
Von südlich Isokari im Norden bis Lohm im Süden
liegt dünnes ebenes Eis. Außerhalb davon treibt bis
Iisokari sehr lockeres Eis.
Gulf of Riga
In the North there is close ridged 5-15 cm thick
drift ice along the coast, in the Irben Strait open
water occurs.
Estonian Coast: In the Pärnu Bay there is 30-40
om thick fast ice. Farther out up to the latitude of
'sland Kihnu there is close 10-20 cm thick ice,
southwards of it mostly open water. In the coastal

Gulf of Finland
The ice edge runs along about the line Harmaja —

drifting near the coast in the Bay of Narva, in the
Bay of Kunda there is at the coast dark nilas. -
Finnish Coast: In the western archipelago there is
5-25 cm thick fast ice, farther off for 2-5 nm very
close thin ice. In the eastern archipelago there is
15-25 cm thick fast ice. Farther off there is to the
ine Harmaja —- Orrengrund — Haapasaari very
zlose, partly rafted 10-25 cm thick ice, then up to
the line Harmaja — Vaindlo very close 10-35 cm
thick ice.- Russian Coast: In the harbours of St.
Petersburg there is close to very close 20-30 cm
thick ice. Farther westwards there is 30-45 cm thick
fast ice up to the longitude of Kronstadt. Farther out
an the fairway there is first up to the longitude of
lighthouse Krasnaja Gorka close 20-35 cm thick ice,
then up to the longitude of Cape Seraja LoSad' very
open ice and new ice followed by very close, slow
compressed 20-35 cm thick ice up to the longitude of
the island Seskar. Farther westwards there is first
very close, slow compressed 10-25 cm thick ice up
:o the longitude of island Gogland, then up to the ice
3dge close 10-25 cm thick ice. - The Vyborg Bay is
sovered with 30-45 cm thick fast ice. Farther off there
IS very close, slow compressed 15-30 cm thick ice. -
In the Berkezund there is 15-30 cm thick fast ice.
Farther off there is very close, slow compressed 15-
35 cm thick ice. - The Luga Bay is covered with 10-
25 cm thick fast ice. In the Corpora Bay there is 10-
25 cm thick fast ice along the coast, farther out there
is very open drift ice and new ice.
Sea of Äland
In sheltered bays and archipelagos there is open
thin ice or shuga.
Archipelago Sea
From south of Isokari in the North to Lohm in the
South there is thin level ice. Farther off to Isokari
very open ice is drifting.
